    The MAC semifinal game with them last year was a grind. Something happened with Taylor Persons that angered some Zip fans who were there. It was something with an injury.

    Ugly loss but no recriminations. Look forward to the MAC season...and no Coppin States. Looks like the MAC had a tough go tonight.

    The soccer team is an elite program with a culture of winning big "games" at big moments. That's what we want from football and basketball programs. It takes a long time to build and it's really tough for MAC schools when the coaches use the teams and bolt.

    Team didn't show up for this one. Seems like Marshall reviewed the tapes and exposed everything. Poke and his free throws...I don't think I can live through a season of that. Just infuriates me as a fan...can only imagine how the coaching staff feels.

    It's a good discussion to have. But I go back to lilroodude and his analysis. Another tortured comparison would be Ivey is to Dambrot as Cato is to Bowden. Ivey is thriving under Groce maybe a new coach could develop Cato. I will await the... bombardment.

    100% agree. Hard to compare sports. BUT Bowden just seems to do just enough and get lucky enough to hang around.

    Not trying to be argumentative, but isn't that why we aren't the better team? Penalties, special teams, QB issues. Hope they can make this respectable for the fans, the students, the band... everyone who went up.there.

    It's been a fun few weeks, but we all probably know that we are lucky to be in this position at all. Toledo is better team.

    I don't enjoy watching soccer and find the idea of penalty kicks deciding a match odd...but, still, super happy for the Zips. Perfect start to the Zip weekend of wins!
