Zips after gritty win face the Ball State Cardinals who took out WMU after two of their starters had a mid-court collision. Only meeting at the JAR had Big Dog winning the game in closing seconds followed by Cardinal coach Whitford running to mid court screaming claiming the Zips goal-tended their final desperation shot. Dambrot is not going to lose to Whitford. Period.

Leaving now this riveting game

Ball St may be minus a point guard. Guy with knee injury came back. I played Hardy Boys and found out Taylor Persons(?) Has concussion and stitches up the side of his head. (Top that George Thomas)

Scrambling for a loose ball. One knee to one head. Lots of writhing and blood. Hobbled off floor. Felt really bad for them. But Cardinals leading...Inspired them.

The Zips fans around me were ready to remove the refs personally. At the end of chippy games is when we need Noah like he was today. Good laugh when near end ball thrown to Big Dog and left his hands in a split second before the foul.

I remember coming home from work to catch the end of this game on TV. I turned it on just in time for this crazy sequence. And was literally like "WTF!" Yeah, last year's like today's game i will witness in person...or maybe not...if it's close my head will be buried in my hands. And if you look carefully at that clip, you can see some golden flush sweatshirts bouncing around for about 4 seconds...until they weren't.

Thank you for the TravelZoo tip. Was able to get excellent seats in section 126 for not much more than what our ticket (we will choose your seats, and you will like it) office would charge.

Will chalk prevail? Will Miami(Ohio) pull off another first round upset and return to the Q (sans band and cheerleaders)? The Kittens seem a little worried about getting the Rockets. And as much as a PCCC/Zips final would be a lot of fun, I smell a Marcus Keene size upset brewing in Ravenna tomorrow night. As for NIU v. EMU, I will be pulling for the Huskies only because we've had too many close ones with the former Hurons in Cleveland. First round: Monday (campus sites) Game 1, 7 p.m.: No. 9 Northern Illinois (15-16) at No. 8 Eastern Michigan (15-16). Game 2, time TBA: No. 12 Miami (Ohio) (11-20) at No. 5 Western Michigan (15-15). Game 3, 8 p.m.: No. 10 Bowling Green (13-18) vs. No. 7 Toledo (16-15). Game 4, time TBA: No. 11 Central Michigan (16-15) vs. No. 6 Kent State (18-13).

As for Kwan...after tonight...good riddance.
