Just trying to accept that this is the last home game of the year. Quiet day of contemplation.

Really? Didnt realize they won those games. I thought Akron was hottest team? Or was it Buffalo? Maybe Western Michigan?

I know we won, but the rest is a blur. I remember Noah doing something: CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Akron Zips were cold from behind the 3-point line until they needed it. Then Noah Robotham delivered with 50 seconds to play to give Akron a 65-63 victory over Eastern Michigan in the opening quarterfinal game of the Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Tournament on Thursday at The Q. Robothom posed at the top of the circle -- arm raised high and wrist limp and bent aimed right at the rim -- as the crowd roared.

Things also get dicey for a few teams if Toledo and Western Michigan win out. Toledo, Kent, Western, and Buffalo could end up in a 4 way tie. Western could end up as a 3rd seed. Whatever the case looks like we will have either Eastern Michigan (deja vu x3) or Northern Illinois as our quarterfinal match up.

Watching the Ohio/Kent game is painful on just about every level.

If the Zips wrap up their business on Tuesday, they should use the Kent game for 3 point shooting practice.

But wait...beating a team three times in a season is impossible, right? Those seedings are really in flux apart from the top 2 and the bottom 3. We could realistically end up with Western Michigan as the 4th seed and a possible semi-final opponent. But this should be a different thread after today's games are over. Well, maybe not a miracle. But that sure improves my weekend.

Good. Because I'm not watching. If a miracle occurs I can watch rerun. Kudos to the brave few who travelled to Canada.

I'm still tuned out in that I don't expect anything. Our last memories are freshest and those aren't good at the moment. I trust that the coaching staff has a plan. We've been in these late season slumps before and come out just fine. This one just came as a sneak attack and left us reeling. I don't expect a win tonight but I hope whatever the outcome it can prepare us for CLE.

If we win 2 of our last 3 we are MAC regular season champs. If we only win one of those, would need Ohio to lose a game. At this point, we are guaranteed one of the top 4 seeds in Cleveland. Of course, it can get a little tricky at that point. Occasionally, a 3 seed is better than a 1 seed depending on who is on what side of the draw.

I would like to Zeke out front guarding Cooper.

Strike all of that I just posted. Losing 3 or 4 in the row isn't that rare for us. And we've gone on to win the tourney after in one of those years.

Big game! Will the Zips continue their thermal nuclear meltdown? Are the Bulls over their shock from losing at home to PCCC? Will Dambrot and team shake-up the line up? Will wives, children, and pets be taking cover from flying remote controls and iPhones around 10pm tomorrow night? These questions and many others will be answered in the next episode of Zips basketball. What are your thoughts? Personally, I think the Zips aren't ready to shake off what ails them. But the only way is up! right?

The officials seemed to be letting a lot go during that game and the of course save it all up in order to affect the outcome. The last week has been beyond frustrating for fans. Can't imagine how coaching staff must feel.

Speaking of that...Ticket office has perfect timing and called today about purchasing tickets for the Q. I responded, " let me get back to you on that." (Of course, I will cave in and go)

"Stalled" was poor choice. Definitely hit a ceiling!!! And we are all on here because we care...Negative or Positive. And I'm sure all of us could do a real rant if given the opportunity. Maybe after the Buffalo game we can have a thread entitled, "Tell us how you really feel?"
