  1. He's a wannabe "Cassandra." Predicting doom and gloom without her accuracy.
  2. well-said. you are spot on with this.
  3. i understand what you are saying. and as I mentioned there was some big improvement. Arth was nothing like ICoach.
  4. In the basketball thread do not refer to the team from Portage County by their "given" name. You have many other options including (or make up your own): PCCC (Portage County Community College) Ravenna State Streetsboro Junior College Portage County School of Fashion and Design PCCC @ Garrettsville Brimfield Tech PCCC's basketball coach "The Dean of the Mac" is known as "Pinky." And we are all very happy they keep renewing his contract.
  5. Maybe, but I think there was over a 90% chance they were going to lose the next 3 games and likely by quite a lot. The Ball State game had 1 1/2 quarters of quality football and it was fun to watch. I never saw that type of play during the ICoach years. But why did it take to the last quarter of the 9th game of his 3rd season (yes, last year doesn't completely count) to get that type of quality play where they are driving and scoring and making 2 point conversions? I don't know the answer. And then Gibson made that fumble. There was 1 minute 30 seconds left and Ball State had 2 time outs and down by 2. I'm thinking the odds were 50/50 the Zips were still going to lose. You can't run a railroad that way...hopes and prayers. Life isn't always fair.
  6. You will save yourself some frustration by ignoring the haters like Zipsoutsider and Dre.
  7. Jim Tressel would be my dream head coach. No D2, D3 or high school coaches. No, No, No. We don't need any D1 on the job training.
  8. Over the years, some crazy stuff has happened for the Zips in Kalamazoo
  9. Had Gibson not fumbled or Akron recovered the fumble and won, it shouldn't change how Arth is evaluated. They had one quarter of stellar football. A turnover by the QB cost Michigan their game. That stuff happens and thank god it wasn't in the MAC championship game or to become bowl eligible. I mentioned a while back that Bowden was able to pull out a few wins here and there to keep his contract alive. I think Bowden was able to win the MAC East at the end of his contract only to get pummeled by Toledo and then FIU and then get a renewal(if I remember correctly. It's all a blur). So to 94zipgrad's point, our hopes are up but last night shouldn't (who am I to say?) change the overall evaluation of Arth. It's nice that 9 games in the Zips finally have a QB and like in basketball they own the BG Falcons.
  10. so the original article was written after the 3rd quarter?
  11. there's a paywall. can you give us the hightlights?
  12. Well the haters are out. They love to kick people when they are down.
  13. I thought the same thing. I'm sure Gibson had tunnel vision to the end zone but just slide to the 3. First down. Run out the clock.
  14. Absolutely heartbreaking
  15. All he had to do was fall down.
  16. Little voice told me to stay
  17. Bingo. I will give the Zips one more drive then I'm out.
  18. What an awful turn of events.
  19. And you just know BSU will score now.
  20. Is the defense supposed to drag the offensive guy into the end zone for a TD?
  21. I don't know nothing about nothing but I think the Zips defense is a problem.
  22. I think I will leave before half
  23. WKU and MTSU only have women's soccer?
