He was just summarizing the effort by the team, and along with the "tough, gritty NE Ohio basketball", then he throws in "you know, The Hawk".. I was driving home after the game, so I wasn't completely focused (distracted driving, anyone?). But I'm pretty sure it wasn't in reference to Ken (you can put it on the board, yesss) Harrelson..I can't stand that guy..

That's too bad. The plans I saw looked interesting. It would have been a nice upgrade.

Oh my Freak-ing GAWD!!!! French types just like he speaks on his early AM sports reports.. Speaking of broadcasters, I happen to strike up a conversation with the gentleman who does NIU radio. He has been calling NIU games since 1980, so I figured he knew what he was talking about. He said NIU had a young team, like us, that had difficulty on the road, like us. Turns out, he was right.

He leans forward. Watch his hips. His legs are straight, but his upper body is bent at the hips, towards the man he is guarding. Many big guys develop that lean in high school, so it becomes problematic with college refs (even Larry, Moe and Curly from Sat). He will learn, he's a smart guy.

Coach could have directed that statement to a lot of players last night. I don't know what has happened to this team that has caused such a drop off in fundamental basketball in such a short time. Duvivier looked like he had never shot a basketball, Utomi was frustrated by Bulls D, Parrish had effort, but couldn't buy a basket, et-cet-er-a, et-cet-er-a, et-cet-er-a...(cue Yul Brenner) If we get the snow/ice that the weather forecasters are calling for, there may not be 1800 people on Sat.. *end of mini-rant*
