  1. I always love going back and reading the messages left during the game. Amazing how many of my thoughts end up being posted by other Zip fans..
  2. If you beat a dead horse long enough, does it come back to life?
  3. I do when I see a certain dance team member...
  4. One quick observation on Kent St fans: I thought it was a nice move to put a large contingent of KSU students in the front rows of the Club seats right above the Flash bench. They were loud and engaging, It had to help with the team energy. Since those seats were assigned to Kent, someone either had to give up those seats or there weren't enough requests from alumni to fill those seats. Either way, it worked well for Kent.
  5. Great pictures! Appreciate that you take the time to share. Get us some pics of the Zips hoisting the trophy tonight!!
  6. Joe Akron morphs into Joe Cleveland for the next 3 days. ETA 10 AM today at Corner Alley. Go Zips!! ..it's 7:58 and Kent State still.....
  7. Guess that's about the Long and Short of it...
  8. "And he was the ‘best’ player on the ‘best’ team, which — although facile — does matter." Now, I'm just a kid from Akron Ohio, but I don't think either common definition of FACILE fits. fac·ile [ˈfasəl] ADJECTIVE (especially of a theory or argument) appearing neat and comprehensive only by ignoring the true complexities of an issue; superficial. synonyms: simplistic · superficial · oversimplified · shallow · glib · [more] (of success, especially in sports) easily achieved; effortless: "a facile victory" synonyms: effortless · easy · undemanding · unexacting · painless · [more] Superficial? Hardly.. Easily Achieved? Gimme a break...
  9. Tiffany, My deepest sympathies to you are your family. May he rest in peace.

  15. Not even for the water tower?
  16. This was on last night, somehow made me think of us:
  17. Darn good selfie, Bleu
  18. I have a cold, so my crystal balls are a bit foggy. I have a fever, so I may be hallucinating. I found myself really emotionally invested in the Kent game and the loss left me feeling cranky and irritable, much like older people must feel the night before a colonoscopy. Maybe the team felt the same way or maybe they have just forgotten how to score. I do know it's very frustrating, for both the players and the fans. Perhaps a bowl of chicken soup for all of us. Hey, it couldn't hurt..
  19. I have to allocate it from "The Arena Fund" ..
  20. More Flashin the Pans ?? on 2nd thought, Panning the Flashes..
  21. Local politicians, along with faculty and staff, who seem to be busy each year from Nov thru 1st week of March are suddenly front and center come MAC Tournament time. I'll spend $250 total to get good seats for all the sessions, as opposed to be relegated to "Loudville" or whatever the last row is called these days. Curse you, Z Fund.
  22. Kent, a nice quaint town Tons of black squirrels and nuts Let's bury their nuts.
  23. Not sure why you are so sure that it has to be all or nothing? You paint a picture of impending doom, as if buildings are teetering on the brink of despair. I am suggesting that the city stop spending capital on downtown for awhile and shift their very limited resources to the neighborhoods. If, as you imply, the money already spent downtown is working, then it's only a temporary shifting of resources. If it doesn't work, then you try a new tactic. You don't keep throwing money down a giant hole in the ground. Oh wait, that's already being done...(sorry, it was too easy)
  24. At least you had the decency to not mention the guy who responded to the "worst zips team in a decade". He said "you beat me to it" Hey, you're still my boy, Bleu..
