DT transfer from UTEP. Former JUCO that is originally from London. Played less than 50 snaps last year, but played well in his limited time. 2 years of eligibility remaining. This one feels like a replacement for Robinson.

Should be in the next few weeks. Coaches typically press for an answer from portal players after a few weeks have gone by. They want their rosters set for the spring and summer. Forgot to add I doubt we see many (if any) commitments from the older offers that went out.

It’s both quality and quantity. As far as Rivals is concerned, they’ve reverted back to listing most G5 commitments as 2 stars (5.2 - 5.4), although some later commitments did manage to keep their 3 star ratings if they were already rated as such. Portal transfers to G5s are usually listed anywhere from 2 or 3 stars. Rivals is the closest to having all the MAC commitments listed. On a side note, On3 and 247 are easier to navigate and have a better interface but they are missing a high number of MAC commitments. I’ve kept the first page up to date for our ease of use here. Moorhead’s staff has definitely upped the quality of players being recruited. Unfortunately it didn’t show up in the win column last year, but hopefully it will this year.

Yes, they are depth pieces. Chances are they’ll see the field at some point though.

I think 9 return from last year, although not all played. Almost 100% turnover from when Moorhead took over. Lyons is currently the lone holdover on the OL from the last staff.

Goes to show how badly Auburn is struggling along the OL. In Chambers’ defense, he was solid at RT, but was a bit out of his depth at LT. Good enough to play in the SEC? I’d say no, but apparently Auburn thought differently. I know of another SEC team that is heavily looking at a few linemen from the G5 level that played less than half the season last year and P5 OL that played less than 150 snaps. It’s crazy what some teams are willing to take on the OL at this point in the year.

I was as surprised at the commitment as everyone else, but here’s what he had to say just a few months ago: "I'm big on quality over quantity when it comes to the offers and where I want to go. That means just having a great relationship with everybody. Even a smaller school like Toledo, right now is one of the top of my list. I was just there today. My bond with Coach (Robert) Weiner and coach (Jason) Candleis amazing. That team can compete with anybody from at the Power Four level right now."

Yep, OL are at a premium in the portal. I’m not sure where Auburn stands now, but they had around 8 scholarships to fill not too long ago. They also are hurting for OL depth (I guess that part is fairly obvious). Quality DL are also at a premium.
