    Something about this just doesn’t add up - must be more to this story. Maybe he just waited too long and this was the only offer still on the table? There is no way that he chooses Akron over some of those other schools. I’m guessing that it was Buffalo, Akron, Tulsa, and Sacramento State as the only valid offers left and he chose Akron.

    I don’t know how in the hell they could get to $1 million in NIL unless Kaulig dumps it all into the pot. I say this half jokingly, but it really is pathetic, maybe they could offer food as an NIL as an incentive of to keep some kids.?

    It’s the annual bible of college football information. It lists every team’s depth chart, stats, and other info. I’d post a screenshot but the type is so small and packed with info that it would be hard to read. You can buy it online or some bookstores carry it.

    Wow, surprised that the Zips are that big of an underdog at home against a team that was 3-9 last year. Not saying it should be an easy win, but that seems like alot of points.

    Interesting…Phil Steele lists the Zips as a bowl team, or bowl caliber team, in this article about the MAC. https://philsteele.com/2025-mac-hits-and-misses/ What I also find interesting is that it seems almost every MAC team has announced which of their players were mentioned as Phil Steele pre season All MAC honorees but I see nothing posted from Akron. Did I miss it or are they asleep at the wheel??

    Win 6 to become bowl eligible which will create a national “Free Akron” campaign that will shine the light on the ridiculous irony in the NCAA rules.

    This rule seems like it would hit Akron pretty hard. Being a lower tier D1 (and MAC) school it seems like several players in the last couple years have hit the portal and/or flunked out and never reappeared on another roster. I’d guess that this is fairly typical when dealing with so many Juco kids. They overestimated their value and ended up working at Wal Mart - and bringing down Akron’s APR in the process.
