I've seen some discussion surrounding Miami that Sayler would only play P4 teams if they agreed to a home-and-home. He obviously knows that isn't happening, so I have to assume this was intentional and he could still try the "nobody would play us!" nonsense.
If UMass, CMU, and Buffalo all finished tied, they would get the 7, 8, and 9 seeds, respectively.
UMass at Ohio on Tuesday will have an impact on who we end up playing in the 1st round.
I got tired of waiting on good hats to be released...I finally bought a blank hat and connected with a local business who embroidered the Zips logo on it for me. It looks really good.
It will be interesting to see if the MAC does anything at all with Travis Steele's crash out. It's one thing to argue with referees, but damaging the other school's equipment and then getting into it with a freaking opposing team's DJ in the tunnel is completely unacceptable from a head coach at any level. I'm guessing they'll let him slide because they're milking every bit of attention Miami is getting, but that was an embarrassing display from Steele tonight.
I hope this isn't a case of an AD changing to change so they can add something to their resume (Ex: Guthrie with the rebrand). I'm assuming how they value us relates to our contract amount. If it is a significant difference and the increase in money can be spent on the roster, then sure, let's change. But if it's close or something else not relevant, I hope he reconsiders. Nike is the premier basketball shoe provider. Jordan's, LeBron's, Kobe's, Sabrina's and even Ja's are very popular with young players. Having even a small connection to the greatest basketball player of all-time and being one of only a handful of schools to receive and wear his shoes isn't nothing either.
I'd be bummed to see us leave Nike, I absolutely love Nike gear and its quality. I'd rather them focus on getting out of whatever nonsensical Barnes and Noble contract they have that prevents them from selling a better selection of items than move away from Nike.
Fouls have become an issue for Freeman, as he has fouled out in two straight games.
Today - 28 minutes, 13 points, 12 rebounds
2/22 - 30 minutes, 29 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals
They've mostly been using him at the 4 recently.
