  1. Deni Odifin with a 9 yard sack and Temple misses a long field goal. Amazing how he has come back from that nasty car accident.
  2. Dashan Miller fielded a kickoff on the five that was going out of bounds, then stepped out of bounds. Instead of gettting it on the 40, we got it on the five had to punt, and now Temple is driving again. Once again, special teams not quite so special. Nice siren in the background just now too.
  3. Temple just returned a punt for a TD. Temple up 21-17.
  4. I realize most folks are at the game, but for those of us watching on ESPNU or just listening, that was an ugly touchdown we gave up (isn't Temple supposed to be a running team? Thank you Mr. Cobham, how about heading to class?), but on the bright side that was a terrific drive to tie the Game. Nicely looked nothing like a freshman and man we will miss Andre Jones next year. Stadium looks great on TV and announcers are very complimentary of Nicely. And of course kick it out of bounds on the ensuing kickoff.
  5. Hey, what are you doing on my thread? :)Shots Zips 13-3Saves NIU 2-0Corners Akron 8-2Fouls NIU 21-11Offsides Akron 8-1
  6. Whew! Nagbe ends it with a goal 47 seconds into the 2nd OT (assisted by Nanchoff). On to the MAC Championship!
  7. Double crap! Double OT.
  8. Crap, first OT game of the year. Its tough when opponents know you so well. I imagine NIU has packed the box on us. End it with a win quickly and hopefully gain a little experience for the NCAA tournament. I got the fouls on NIU exactly right, I'd have far rather gotten the goals correct.
  9. Still 0-0 into the second half. Only three shots? Man, what's going on?
  10. This is post 777 for me, which should be lucky so I don't wish to waste it. All I want is an NCCA tournament championship for men's soccer, another MAC title and NCAA tournament win for men's basketball, continued improvement for the ladies in both sports and a football team next year that wins and generates enough interest to fill Infocision. That's all.
  11. I'm envious, wish I could be there for both of them!
  12. I want it to be quick (but not painless - for them). The MAC tournament is not going to be easy but I have confidence our guys will survive it. Tough game tonight to start, I'll call it as 2-0 Zips (Bunbury, Zemanski) with 18 fouls for NIU.
  13. With a prediction like that, you are most certainly a boob. A pretty big boob, in fact. Maybe even as big a boob as those pictured with the sunglasses. And I thought I was being subtle I thought your comment was clever and understated and could have stood on its own merit. ;)If Temple wins tonight they are pretty well assured of winning a MAC division title. If they do, that will mean every team in the East will have played in the MACC in from 2003 except, that's right, Can't State (we can at least enjoy the fact we've extended their championship-less game appearance once again). Miami has appeared twice and its a little trickier for BGSU since they were in it in 2003 but were a west division member then (let's send them back).
  14. Beacon posted an article on the impact of UA sports in general and Infocision in particular on downtown (and area) businesses. Still shows UA to be a positive force in the local economy.
  15. There was another name in that list that should be familiar to Zips fans as well, although in a much more neagtive way.Reno Bighorns - Haminn Quaintance (Traded To Rio Grande Valley)For anyone that may not recognize the name, he was a Zips nemesis at Can't State for a number of years. If this league equates Can't State starters with UA walk-ons. I'm OK with that.
  16. Yep Lunardi dropped us down a seed even before the season started. What did we do to deserve that? Oh, maybe he heard about the mysterious Cleveland St. scrimmage.
  17. I gave her credit for a nice article all of the way up until this line:The 64 NCAA tournament teams will be announced on Monday (5:30 p.m. ET, ESPNEWS).The men's side has only 48 teams (the women's tournament has 64 teams - that disparity has always seemed odd to me).
  18. I wish ill will towards the NW soccer team for about the next five years anyway.
  19. I prefer these kind of sunglasses. The future's so bright I gotta wear shades kind. Oops, I forgot we were talking about the football team. Temple by 10.
  20. For a few seconds I thought you were talking about EA Sports, man they must really know some inside information about him that we don't.
  21. Nice job on the videos, my favorite was the Zeke block. He looked like he was about 12 feet of the ground.
  22. Thanks man, those were good. First look at Zeke in the Zips uniform, he looks great (and he has put on some muscle). Does Tim Carroll remind anyone else of Tim Meadows? Glad to see he got some playing time in tonight too. Can't wait for the first look at the Zips in person (against UAPB).
  23. Couple of interesting things from KD after the game - 1) I guess he's pretty high on Zeke too since he said if he puts on 20 pounds of muscle, we'll be seeing a first rounder and 2) he spent a lot of the interview pumping up the soccer team, saying he wants 4000 people out at the soccer games. Pretty cool.
  24. Man, five blocks for Zeke so far!
  25. Six different Zips have hit three pointers in the first half. If that is an indicator of the season, if we can hit from the outside and have Zeke in the middle - wow!
