Nice job on the videos, my favorite was the Zeke block. He looked like he was about 12 feet of the ground.

Thanks man, those were good. First look at Zeke in the Zips uniform, he looks great (and he has put on some muscle). Does Tim Carroll remind anyone else of Tim Meadows? Glad to see he got some playing time in tonight too. Can't wait for the first look at the Zips in person (against UAPB).

Couple of interesting things from KD after the game - 1) I guess he's pretty high on Zeke too since he said if he puts on 20 pounds of muscle, we'll be seeing a first rounder and 2) he spent a lot of the interview pumping up the soccer team, saying he wants 4000 people out at the soccer games. Pretty cool.

Six different Zips have hit three pointers in the first half. If that is an indicator of the season, if we can hit from the outside and have Zeke in the middle - wow!

Nice start for Zeke - knows how to finish around the basket, a nice rebound, an assist and possibly a block in his opening few minutes. Good for him.

I used to think these numbers were a travesty - like Indiana getting a #6 RPI while losing 8 games but they really do have a brutal schedule. Their average oppoent RPI is 37.6. I think they still may have been a little overly rewarded with a hard schedule and losing almost half of them, but by comparison I also did Louisville and Akron. Lousiville, a good team but with a few losses has an average opponent RPI of 84 and are rated low. Akron is 73.4 so as tough a schedule as we think we played, Indiana really did have a hard one, so it's good we won them all. It appears that scheduling really is the biggest component (more important than wins apparently). I even did our out of conference RPI and its a very respectable 47.5 but its still lower than Indiana's overall. Indiana St. John's (21) Bloomington, Ind. So when we win the MAC, there should be no excuse for not getting the overall number 1 seed in the tournament. I'd really like to avoid UCLA, Wake and UNC until the final four, but getting any of the top four seeds would be good so at least we'd get all home games (we think).

Lots of great goals from the Zips season (I think it showed every goal this season including the two exhibition matches). Let's get through the MAC tourney unscathed and see what happens. Conference tourneys are tough, opponents just know you too well. Even though the conference wasn't great, we had some very tough matches against conference opponents.

I went with Pretty strong (I think it only gets to intense when there is something on the line like it has been in basketball the last few years). I think a lot of it has to do with proximity too, there are a ton of local grads in the area who at least care a little and a lot of families (including mine) that have graduates from both schools. Just because we don't speak to my sister ...

That's what I thought after Northwestern got beat. While I think that should be enough too, I just wouldn't bet the house on it.

On the surface, the Miami/NIU outcome would appear to provide some hope. But there are two important facts from that game that affected the outcome. First, NIU's starting QB Chandler Harnish was out for it (last time I heard, he may or may not play against the Zips). Second, it was Zac Dysert's first start at QB for Miami and he's looked very impressive so far.So if Harnish can't go against the Zips, we might have a chance at a big upset. If I were Fleming and company I'd do everything I could to make the QB (whoever it is) beat me. NIU's rushing attack is very strong. We'll need some turnovers to keep it within reach. Jus can't see anything being salvaged of this season and NIU is reasonably good this year. I wil give the Zips one thing and that is that I do not believe they have given in, I still see a fight in them. NIU 20, Zips 13 (missed XP not two field goals).
