When the other team has more points in the paint than you have points, I think that would lead to a loss every time. ๐คฃ They had a great season though.
Man, has anybody improved his game more over the course of this year than Michal Wynne? ( I took the e out of his first name and stuck it in his last name to prove I could be a reporter for the ABJ).
Jackie seems genuinely touched by the tribute they did for her on her last telecast. For about 2 seconds - then it was right back to professional mode. ๐
Corcoran didn't play much and wasn't very effective when she was in. I'll bet that ankle is still bothering her. Good thing the rest of her team picked her up.
Keith got bounced from the A-10 tournament but it was a close game. I would make one suggestion for him for next year. They have DUQ on the front of their uniforms but on TV it looks an awful lot like DUD. I think I'd change that.
I think you may be arguing two sides of the same question. Is it the best coach who ever coached at Akron or is it the coach who the the best while at Akron? I mean in a way we could claim John Heisman might be the football best coach ever at Akron. But he's not the best ever Akron football coach.
Duquesne is playing right now in the A10 first round against Rhode Island. The announcers mentioned that he had had 13 straight winning seasons at Ohio, I mean Kent, I mean Akron, one of those Ohio schools. Dick
And while Tricia Cullop certainly deserved coach of the year, I hope the Jackson got a few votes because predicted to finish last to getting the third seed is a pretty impressive job.
Well deserved - even more impressive when you look at her conference stats - which for conference player of the year ought to carry more weight. First in scoring, 4th in rebounding 5th in shooting percentage. I know she's way up in assists as well but my mobile app couldn't get to those. All for a team that was predicted to finish last in the league. She certainly stepped up her game this year. I hope she has a chat with her brother. ๐คฃ
And don't forget Reagan Bass either, made the all freshman team and honorable mention all conference. Well done. ๐
I can't see any criteria that would allow that to happen. With an unequal number of games it's supposed to be by winning percentage. There were several tied 10-10 teams and KSU lost that criteria but it shouldn't also lose to a team with a worse record. Weird.
Edit: Finally found it. Apparently as part of the pandemic rules any team within a half game of another is considered tied and then the tiebreakers are applied so there were four teams alive at "10-10" for the last three seeds and KSU lost out.
Go Zips! Beat the 10-10 Falcons (who were the "winners" of the 10-10 logjam).
