  1. This report is incorrect.
  2. I look forward to the yearly Homestar Runner April 1 joke, myself. Maddox had some good ones back in the day, but he doesn't really update anymore.
  3. Wait, maybe not!
  4. I'll note I was speaking specifically about this year only. Dude straight gets it done.
  5. Well... yes and no. Good luck looks like good coaching, and the Spartans have had both this tournament. I think Izzo's giddiness suggests even he didn't expect them to still be standing at this point.
  6. Don't know how they're doing it this year. Combination of rebounding and great fortune.
  7. Rumors have been flying in media circles that Hitchens is leaving.
  8. It doesn't matter how good your offense is if your defense sucks. It doesn't matter how good your defense is if your offense sucks. This is not an either/or proposition. You need both. Duke: #6 nationally in offensive points per possession, #7 in defensive points per possession. WVU: #22 in O-PPP, #67 in D-PPP. Butler: #56 in O-PPP, #24 in D-PPP. MSU: #36 in O-PPP, #69 in D-PPP By the way, nobody in the last decade or so has won a title giving up .9 or more points per defensive possession. Duke, at .89 D-PPP, is the only team that meets that standard.
  9. Now the conference gets two units. The total payout will be in six figures.
  10. My head hurts. Akron produced points better than any other team in the conference this season and better than 200+ teams in the country. Frankly, the offense outperformed the defense this year.
  11. Oh, he's definitely gravy...
  12. I've never toured Akron's dining facilities, but I haven't heard of a school that doesn't have all-you-can-eat cafeterias. Is UA an exception?
  13. How much, though. Something trivial like $5k per school? Can't's sweet 16 credits are set to expire and unless OU can win their next game it still means a reduction in NCAA money. About $125,000 per school per round. The payout from the Elite Eight run expired a couple years ago. But is that divided amongst all of the schools in the conference or is it what each school gets? If it is the former, VMD was not far off. Like I said, per school.

  15. By the way, that Ohio win last night was worth CASH MONEY for Akron. THAT is how you benefit.
  16. Refs really calling this loosely. I'm surprised.
  17. More teams in the tournament and more wins means more money for the MAC means more money for Akron.
  18. Zeke forced Kool into two misses and no makes.I should note those were NBA scouts.
  19. Tweet, tweet! Follow @macreportonline or twitter.com/macreportonline for updates.
  20. Dambrot said this very thing last night.
  21. He blew his ACL junior year of HS. Everybody but Western Michigan backed off him. Also, I talked to some scouts about Kool. They didn't seem too impressed.
  22. Have fun tonight, everyone. http://is.gd/avskW
