Even Ohio State people acknowledge Cincinnati as the only part of the state not awash in Scarlet. Of course there is still a sizable contingent of Buckeye fans... they're all over the country. But there are fewer in Cincy than almost anywhere. Of course, a lot of them are UK fans.

Akron was just as capable of making this run as Ohio. Don't kid yourself. Losing at the last second at Evanston doesn't change that. And really, they should've had the chance. As a conference, we didn't get the job done in raising the MAC's profile when opportunities were there.

Last night was kind of weird. No transition game and only four offensive rebounds, two of OU's strengths. If they get that back tomorrow night, they can withstand a poor shooting performance (as they have many times).

I tabbed the crowd as 60/40 Akron. I think you're being a little too hard on your own people; Akron's fans were often louder than OU's, and I was across from the OU bench. Ohio fans might have been more organized, though. Either way, it was a great crowd in total. Really loud in there in the second half.

I really don't get the 200 fans comments. Ohio fans filled four sections last night. Like 2010, it should be a great atmosphere and a lot of fun. Hoping for 10k overall tonight. Don't think fatigue will be too much of a factor. Cooper's legs are made of iron. Buffalo fans had giant posters of that bikini photo a couple weeks ago when OU when up there. Pretty funny. But if Ohio's forwards get into foul trouble again, Akron will take better advantage of it than Buffalo did.
