It seems as if your logic is since the team was 3-9, the players aren't any good. I think the players are good and just need a new coach.I'm only concerned if a player is a top notch talent. If the player is a dog or easily replaced by another, I'm not concerned.The Zips will be fine. I'm not looking down the road any further than next year. The expectation should be for a coach to come in and win right away. Next year the coach will have "his team". Akron has some very good talent. Don't confuse the coaching staffs inability to develop and properly utilize the talent with not having any talent.

I agree. There is a lot of talent here. There just needs to be a coach that can put it all together. Hopefully we don't lose any of that talent with a coaching change.

Good lower division coach. Tressel and Kelly both came out that way and I know there are more. i want oa guy that has HC experience and is a winner.

Recruits aren't going to come here knowing the team absolutely sucks and the coach will probably be gone after this season. For a mid major like UA, a coaching change usually results in a poor recruiting class that first year. UA has some talent and as long as it stays, a new coach will be able to grow the talent and then with the facilities and a winning team, next year will be better for recruiting.

I find it hard to believe that some of the other current players weren't HS QB's. Other schools have multiple guys that were QB in high school and were good, but were projected as something better at the college level.

Wait...so after running two plays with Torrence they decided he should be thrown towards the back of the depth chart? As timmyboy mentioned, couldn't it have to do with reading the defense?Sorry, I just seem to question every move our coaching staff makes since "The Nicely Revelation".Torrence is probably one of the guys that will be happy with a new coaching staff.

His last facebook status said "this is my team now". I don't think he's going anywhere. That is good to hear. Hopefully we don't lose any transfers or current commits. Hopefully the new coaches can just start over int he spring with a lot of retunrning talent.

Yeah a lot of their fans seem to have some sense of entitlement. I can't understand why. They haven't won anything of note, period. And anywhere on either coast people will think they're wearing a green buckeye shirt when they have on any Ohio gear.I have a couple friends from high school that go to OU. Both are die hard OSU fans, and graduated with sub 3.0 GPAs. I can't talk trash to them about Akron-OU match ups because they are indifferent to it. It's all about Ohio State.
