I predicted this back when he was hired. I said that while he was successful and hailed as a top recruiter at his former employers, they were all BCS schools that sold themselves to a degree, and he wouldn't have anywhere near the resources to do what he did at Notre Dame and Wisconsin. And now his recruiting targets are chosing schools like Indiana and Ball State. Exactly right. I mentioned that when he was hired too. When you come from a big time school, much of the recruiting is by the school itself. Texas, ND, OSU, Florida, USC would have top 25 classes if they sent out blank scholarships and just signed the first 25 that returned them signed.

Forget these bozos. Let's go after some of them USC transfers that don't have to sit out a year. I like that idea. I agree. IIRC, most of those stud USC recruits had Akron as their second choice anyway.

When Steve verballed to the Zips there was a lot of fanfare and happiness about it. I don't understand what happened. He never got a chance. I would understand if we still had Wood and Fuch, but we didn't. I too wish him good luck. Seems like a great guy.

Lots of questions. I think we're barking up the wrong tree so to speak. Does getting a girlfriend knocked-up a sign of a lack of character?....If so, is Tom Brady a guy who should be run from the NFL because he has knocked-up two girlfriends and has no character? The team benches I believe are bring relocated to the grandstand side of the stadium. It would make sense since the designs we've seen in the past called for the grandstands to be where they currently (albeit larger) with the team benches along the front. What designs. Are there pics of what this is supposed to look like?

I agree. I mentioned that when he signed and got the usual responses. The kid has character issues. He thinks he is a lot better than he really is. He will not play at OSU even if he makes grades. If he thinks he will have a better chance of making it to the NFL by riding the bench at OSU than by starting at Akron, he is dumber than I thought.
