  1. Ummmm.... have you taken a look at our defensive backfield lately?? We're more loaded there than we are at reciever. If he wants to start he should put on 120 lbs and play guard.
  2. Don't want to slander a kid on here, but from what I've heard, he's going to need to step up his leadership, character, and work ethic and gain some respect from his teammates or he's not going to last long as the starting QB for the Zips. Guys like that with a ton of talent usually come into programs with all kinds of hype (like he has), get the fans all excited (like many are), and then bust and are replaced mid way through the season with a less talented but more reliable guy. I hope this is not the case for Carlton and the Zips, and I hope he learns to get in his playbook, get in the film room, lead by example, and stay away from bad influences. The QB has got to be a guy that players can look to for leadership, and we've been extremely fortunate to have that with our last 3 QB's.Of course, let's not take away anything from the other two guys who will be vying for the job in the spring. Carlton Jackson has in no way won the job yet anyhow.
  3. hmmm....well nvm. For some reason we're not even an option.

  6. ZIPS 110Flushes 32We're going to give those hippies an a$$ kicking people around here will be talking about for the next 50 years!! And we're gonna be bitches!!!!
  7. Can't's already in the bonus, now up by double digits. This one's as good as over. Too bad.
  8. Hawkins just got a tech. Not what we needed.
  9. Western's starting to fold. TO's and bad shots. Can't up by 5.
  10. Broncos up 5.
  11. 40 all. 15 minutes left. Part of me wants to see a choke job by the Golden Flushes, and part of me wants to see our 3 game sweep before a rockin Q tomorrow night. I can't make up my mind who I want to win.
  12. 38 all. 18 left in the second.
  13. Get the bench in, save the starters legs for tomorrow
  14. Or maybe you meant a Democrat in the inner-city? Nvm, you're not dead.
  15. That's what our record will be if everything goes according to plan in Cleveland. That's a helluva accomplishment and without a doubt the best Zips team of all time. Hopefully nobody steps up and spoils it, because it would be a shame for this team not to go dancing after all the hard work and sacrifice. And just think, with the ball bouncing a different way in a few of the more frustrating losses this season, we were in reach of 30.
  16. Anyone got a link to the new mid major poll?? I would like to think we are up there in that at least.
  17. Technically, probably not, but with so many people, including parents, standing around the fieldhouse watching and coming and going chances are you can slip in and have a peek without anyone noticing.
  18. Alleman clocked a 4.96, 3rd amongst lineman at the draft and pretty good considering he's put on about 20 lbs since the season (was only about 285 last year).
  19. If they cut him in the middle of his contract, the team takes a cap hit. With the voidable 4th year, they can let him become a free agent without taking the hit, or they can keep him there a 4th year. It's a much better situation for the team than for Chase.
  20. Think of the direction of the MAC. Now think about the positives of bring YSU in.Now can you tell me honestly if the MAC would turn down YSU. Yes. You're in an already crowded market (NEO) and nobody wants to come to play in Youngstown. Most of us prefer to stay bullet free.
  21. There is no max. It's all about how many scholarships you have open off your 85. If we chose to sign 10 guys this year and had 40 open next year, we could sign 40 guys. With all the comings and goings we've seen my guess would be we have quite a few schollies on the table.
  22. I'm pretty disheartened after this one, but after an hour to cool down and find a shirt that'll match that ugly red tie my coworker is bringing in for me tomorrow.... we're gonna be alright. We struggled with Miami the first time at home, and they're the only team I can really see having a chance to beat us in Cleveland. Being that in all likelihood we're not going to see them there, we'll be fine. We weren't going to get an at large regardless, we could piss down our leg the rest of the year and it wouldn't matter. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO CLEVELAND. What we do there will define this season, with no regard to what happened tonight.
  23. well its either win the MAC tourney or have a failure for a season. I hate losing to inferior competition with inferior fans and alumni. It's just sickening.
  24. I can't go to work tomorrow if we lose this one. I bet a sweater alum I would wear a Miami tie if the Zips lost .
