I have to say that Kelly/Shorts is one of my favorite MAC Stadiums. It's sized right, and I like how it wraps around 3/4 of the field. It has a really nice atmosphere.

I can't listen to the broadcast on the internet. It sounds horrible. Listening to the CMU radio broadcast, they keep talking about our receiving corps, nothing about kennedy. Boy, are they in for a suprise.

I don't know if anyone else is listening to the pre-game on the internet, but the sound quality is pretty crappy! In general I'm not that impressed with the new gozips.com

Typically, when I listen to the game on the internet, I'm about 3 minutes behind everyone else. We'll see how good the streaming for gozips.com is. What Pisses me off is that I'm sitting here near Flint, Mi. and I get to watch OSU vs. Cincinatti on the TV. WTF!

If you would like to understand our sport better, this is a golden opportunity. Swing by the range and take a few shots and support the team. Glad to see something like this started. Good luck to the team this season.

Two reasons why it wasn't me (I apologize in advance for ruining a funny thread):1) I'm not that computer savy.2) I don't want to encourage the FALSE stereotype that we are a bunch of freaks who like to kill things. For all the talk I've seen about trying to get more of a following in NE Ohio, I can't believe that someone wants to boycot this game. We need these games to SELL OUT. That indicats this is a rivalry that people in the community want to see. Word of mouth will generage some buzz around the game. Local media will see this as an important sporting event that needs to be covered, hence, it will get more exposure. Pounding on Can't will only reinforce FACT that Akron is a superior, up and coming program. We all know the type of frontrunners most Ohioans are, so Akron will get more support.

Hope to there will be a good Zip turnout. Though I'm probably the closest Zip fan to Mt. Pleasant, I won't be able to make the game. Will be listening on the radio for SURE! Glad to see some people are worried about this game. I think Zip Analyst summed it up well.....We'll see these guys one more time this year. Remembering #5's performance 2 years ago, I say we get down in the first half, and come back to take the lead for good early in the 4th. Add a TD late to button it up. I really think we are under-estimating CMU. I am VERY worried about a letdown this week. I hope the team isn't thinking a win will be as easy as most of the fans here.

WOW!For all the crap I give the ABJ, that was totally unexpected. I have to say, I am as floored by that article as Amato is by the outcome of last weeks game. I have to give credit where credit is due...that was great! Lets hope it keeps coming.

I second this. Actually, I'm guessing that the front page OSU space had been allotted for weeks. Last minute adjustments were probably necessary to fit the Zips in.

It is a bit of a haul, but it can be done. I've driven my @$$ from Flint to Akron for Home games for the past 6 years. It's about a 6 hour drive from Akron to Mt. Pleasant. If you don't stop for food and haul, you could probably knock an hour off of that drive.

I've got to tell you guys, we had BETTER have our ducks in a row at Central. IMO, they are the best team in the MAC West right now. I may be a little biased because I live near Flint and hear about the Chips a few times a week. They gave BC all they could handle, and BC knocked off #18 Clemson yesterday. Though I was only watching the CMU, UofM game out of the corner of my eye, they looked pretty good yesterday. Finally, CMU finished strong last season and has had our number in recent years. Central has won 4 of the last 5 meetings against us. Coach Kelley knows how to win (took GVSU to the National Championship), and IMO is on Par with JD. NO WAY JD is overlooking this one. I have to believe that everyone on the team and staff knows this is a critical game. I think CMU is at the same talent and coaching level as Akron, and we are at their place. Our kid is due any day now, so it looks doubtful I will be able to make the game. Hopefully I can find it on TV somewhere!

This day in age, I'm not going to believe a picture posted by a fan, 2.5 hours after the game is over. In addition to the angle of the picture being such that it appears the ball "Appears" to be behind the line, how do I know this pic wasn't doctored ??? Good luck with the rest of your season.

I was hoping after a semi-decent showing last week in Happy Valley, PSU would play a good game this week. Instead, they are getting stomped by Notre Dame. I'm trying to gauge how good Akron is. If PSU sucks, and NC State sucks, then I shouldn't get too excited. I'm not trying to discount how Akron has played so far, but just trying to do a reality check. Personally, I think CMU is a darn good team this year (Despite their record), and a win next week bodes well for UA in the MAC.
