People tend to miss the news collector items so I thought I would post this

I'll look for some. thanks I bought two GCI bleacherback chairs at MC Sports in Wadsworth today. The people in front of me had chair backs with rubber no-slip skids on the bottom. I believe they found them here.

Well based off the probability of winning each individual game we can figure out the probability of them winning 2 more of the remaining 10.But I'm busy so I'll say "fat chance of winning more than 2 more games this season"Sep 3 Coastal Carolina Won 18-0 Sep 12 @Boston College Lost 7-34 Sep 19 Iowa St. 7:00pm likely lossSep 26 Miami (Ohio) 7:00pm Miami is attrocious, So I will give k.e.n.t. thisOct 3 @Baylor 7:00pm likely lossOct 10 Bowling Green 3:30pm lossOct 17 @E. Michigan 4:00pm I don't see the depleted O keeping upOct 24 @Ohio 2:00pm lossOct 31 W. Michigan 2:00pm lossNov 7 @Akron 3:30pm if this isn't a loss we need to march to Can't and burn it downNov 21 @Temple 1:00pm possilbe win, likely the lowest score of the seasonNov 27 Buffalo 2:00pm lossSo it depends on Miami and Temple. This could very easily become a 1-11 season.

I have yet to see or hear a commercial about the IU game. I would have figured they would have bought local time during the NFL games but I didn't see anything. There was the usual Beacon ad, but we need to press these games. They just don't seem to be selling this IU game at all.

I know it's the enemy but...Kidney Laceration During BC gameMy heart goes out to him, the dude is tough.

So was the one on the west. Everyone is referring to the main Team shop by the main gate. There were a lot of people pretty disappointed by it not being open.In light of that they should have had a few tables along the concourse. The "casual fan" doesn't wait in a queue to buy merchandise from a window. They will stand in line at a cash register though because they can continue to shop (something to occupy them).

It's a "Roo-Blue" Saturday!catchy... i like it.How about a "Blue Zoo"?I think a senator got in trouble for that once. Roo-Blue works. They would need to focus on doing it for homecoming though. "Let's Blue-out Ohio."

It's what I was telling my wife. It's great we got the sell out, now we need to work on getting everyone in blue. I was looking across at the east stands and it was just a rainbow of color. We will need a shirt promotion to really get this done though. (Student Section looked great)

I think when we all watched the PSU game we just assumed no uni changes. I am wondering if this means we will have a different away look now too? Will there be other options?Beacon Photo Albulm -
Anyone?I didn't get to go, but it looked packed. Looked like they had Coors as the running sponsor of the event. (you could see the giant inflatable from the upper deck)

I hate to say it, but no one values your rather ambiguous assessment of our stadium until you change that ridiculous avatar and screen name.yes beanie wells is awful and so are the suckeyes...loved to watch them lose last night and I could care less what suckeye people think of our stadium. It's amazing and something zips fans are very proud ofThat's the kind of attitude that will prevent our fan base from growing if it continues.1) The guy is a Zips fan...who cares if he likes Beanie Wells?2) There's always complaining about the "average fans" cheering for OSU and ignoring UA...and then you bash them when they do show genuine interest?3) Beanie Wells was a 1st round pick in the NFL...saying he sucks doesn't make you're football knowledge look too good. 4) We have a new stadium, an exciting team, and had a great weekend...why are so you worried about freaking OSU?????To add to this, everyone of us should have been pulling for OSU to win.1) Them being successful means they can fill their 25 scholarships each year with more national talent, over looking some Ohio & PA guys we are trying for (like the St. Ed's Kid)2) We need Ohio football (not just OSU) to look as good as possible whenever possible against the likes of the PAC 10 and SEC. It helps with recruiting to be able to say "Our region has the best football in the country." I appreciate some of your ideas of "If OSU sucks we will get better." but the truth is, if OSU sucks and can only get mid level players, those mid level players come from our recruiting pool. Because bottom line, if a kid is offered by OSU and Akron with the absolute same chance of playing time, they are taking OSU. (it's going to take a lot of winning on our part to change that)

Look at the picture from the Beacon. The ball popped out of his hand before his knee went down, and we lucked out that the he and the ball went out of bounds before the pylon or it would have been Bears ball. Not taking anything away from Rodgers, he is becoming a good athlete. But his pass decisioning still needs work. Almost threw a pick six because he didn't look at what was going on, he just made the fake and chucked to where the receiver should have been. They are trying to establish that Rodgers can indeed throw the ball. If they can do that, then they can run a "wild cat" style with Rodgers being in there. If it looks like they fear throwing the ball with him, then it takes away one the three factos he brings. They still need Jacq to manage the game.(only in NEO do we say the guy that went 3-6 and a combined 3-8 in two games should "be the starter" over the guy with 340 yards passing and 4 td's to 1 int)*edit* With all this said, Rodgers is too good of an athlete to not utilize him in some capacity. They need to find a way to have him and Jacq on the field at the same time.

They picked up where they left off with creating turnovers. But, they also learned how to tackle when that guy behind the QB get's the ball. 2 games 177 yards rushing (Less than 88.5 yds per game)6 shut out quarters on defense4 turnovers created (3 interceptions and a fumble recovery to our 1)48 points scored in two games (48 - 31)(yes it's all perspective) but let's face it, we always talk about how a team like Morgan State shouldn't be able to do anything against us, and look, they actually did less than anything against us.This defense just has a much better feel then any in the Brookhart era. Thank you Coach Okruch for lighting a fire under their collective butts and getting them to believe that being aggressive can make things happen.

We had considered leaving with about 4:50 left, and then figured it would actually be easier to get out if waited until everyone left. That's just the way things are in the real world. If it was a nail biter like say Buffalo last year, then you bet your sweet @$$ everyone would have been there. My favorite new thing, is that the fans can bring the "thunder" (got to love the steel upperdeck) listening to it roll and build up to something incredibly loud was awesome (and apparently aggrivating for poor Carlton Jackson)

They said to contact the Z-Fund office. (I believe)

The University of Akron Zips vs Morgan State Bears
g-mann17 replied to RowdyZip's topic in Akron Zips Football
I too will be at the Founders party. I've been talking about the stadium and game to people ad nauseum.Prediction for tomorrowZips 41 - Bears 13 (10 points scored late in the game) -
I'm glad that uakronkid is gone as well. That new Zach the Zip guy seems pretty good, though. I can't believe how much he has posted being on here just a short time.A little over 16 hours to go!BTW that's a very cool new avatar, MDZip! It's so ominous. It would be fun to put the alternating C D' "Jaws" music to go with it :thumb:Hmmmmm woudn't it be cool if you could get your avatar up on the big Info scoreboard and have the band play the "Jaws" thing? We could save it for times when we're in the Red Zone.Have to admit I found the basis for it on another page but I had to tear it apart and redo it in order to make it work as an avatar on this site. Don't know who gets the original credit for it but I thought it was pretty cool. Not much is truly original on the net anymore. As a side note, a woman I work with is a Morgan State alum. I better have bragging rights after I get back. 15 hours until game time, hitting the road in three! Go Zips! Are we playing at 2am? Thought it was 2pm.

I agree with that, he had one of, if not the, top performances against Penn St.

I certainly wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info Brian.

If it was, then they did it this afternoon after I left because I was parked right next to it in the morning. They did tame the jungle that the lawn had grown into earlier this week. It was still there this afternoon at 1. It was gone as of 5:30 when I drove by, all that remained was a glorious pile of wood.

Don't forget MissTia

It should be even better in our 25,000 seat stadium. You know you keep stating that, but all indications are that there are 27,000 seats and a 3,000 seat grass berm.
