I took a lot of abuse in the original Howard thread, but I will say now is: You can take the boy out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the boy. A very sad story from the beginning.

I hope he brings the same gritty, competitive attitude he had as a player with him. He played all out every minute he was on the floor. A good addition to the coaching staff IMHO.

Seems a little silly to me. I guess the legal firm hired by the state is really desperate for that $500.

I had a great time at the golf outing today. Got to play in a foursome with former Zips standout Brian Roth and new ticket solutions manager Anthony Di Fino. Even with the rain drops falling we managed to shoot 8 under. I would like to know what the other ZN.O guys shot so I can collect my $1 from CK. Next years outing will be back to the usual date of the third Monday of August.They announced there will be a bus trip to the WVA game on November 28th. I'll be there for sure.

Moore looks like a fish out of water in our offense. His mobility is one of his best assets, but we are asking him to stand in the pocket and deliver his passes. I hate this offense and it does'nt seem to be a fit with the players we have on the roster.

Ianello could lose every game this year and he will still be the coach. Unless some rich booster comes up with the money to pay the remainder of his contract, we are stuck with him. UA does not have the money to get rid of him. Its a classic Catch-22 situation.

Nice analysis GP1. My sons 7th grade team runs a more complex offense. If that doesn't change we are going to have a long season.

Ron Ledgard, the sports editor at the ABJ is a pretty good guy. He has limited resources and understands we are in a pro sports market, but I think they have done a better job in the last year or so promoting the Zips. There are lots of stories he would like to see in the paper, but he is limited by the actual size of the paper. The more papers sold and the more clicks on the on line stories, the more likely we are to see more written about the Zips.

Thats a good question. I would guess there were over 200 at the end of the year banquet and around 100 at the golf outing. Good luck and if you make it happen I will be there.
