How dare KD not take us to the promised land. If we had a better coach I'm sure that every blue chipper in the country would flock here. After all, we have the most deserving fan base in the whole country. Look how we sell out every game and our students live and die for Zips sports. If we don't get rid of KD, we will never be national champs.

Trying to compare NCAA basketball to NCAA soccer is not a good comparison. Akron can compete at a high level in soccer because they can still compete financially with the big name schools. Soccer is still a second tier sport to many fans in the USA.

I went to the ticket office today to get my tickets. When asked where I wanted to sit, I was able to buy lower level seats at center court with no problem. All seats are $10 btw. 1500 max. attendance for Tuesday.

What I couldn't understand is why we didn' go to the zone defense after Zeke picked up his third foul. Can't is not a good three pt shooting team and I have to believe that the zone would have shut down th ose drives to the hoop we were giving up.

Two of the officials from last nights game also called the USO/MSU game this week. It was a poorly called game that kept MSU in the game for longer than they deserved. Zeke never even came close to fouling that guy for his third personal. Brett McKnight was body slammed while making a layup at the other end of the floor on the proceeding possession by the Zips, no call. But if Zeke even gets close to his guy away from the lane, its a foul every time.

Just wait till you have your own children RFR44. All you have to do is just get up into their face and I'm sure they'll perform exactly as you want.

Skip, Abreau is a freshman. Do you really think he should be playing like a senior? Its taken Dambrot most of the season, but it now appears that we have something of a set rotation for playing time. Some nights one guy is going to have a good game, other nights it will be another players opportunity to get PT at crunch time. Yes Rico has had some turnovers, but overall his assist to turnover ratio is pretty good. I attribute a big part of our turn around to his willingness to drive the lane. How much complaining was there about Steve's lack of ability to drive the lane and finish. Suddenly Steve is driving to the hole more and getting the big guys easy shots. Personally, I'm looking forward to three more years of Abreaus' ball hawking and fearless ply around the basket. Stop taking everything KD says in the post game interview so seriously, I'm sure he loves what Alex brings to the team.

None of our guys are flushy enough to merit a first team selection. KDs' system makes it tough to impress the voters because no one is going to score 35pts or get a high % of the shots taken by the team. The POTY is a beauty contest, we have a bunch of 7's and 8's, no 10's. I think Nik deserves to be 1st team All MAC because he has been so consistant all season. He has the total game, scoring, rebounding, assists, defense and the most important leadership. Will he get the nod, I don't think so.

Why do you have to talk that way about other programs? Is it because Akron is the worst team in the worst conference in D1 so it makes you feel better? My guess is either THEY realized, the coaches realized or a combination of their and the coaches realization was this= you are not good enough to play FBS football..even in the MAC!!! Believe it or not, some kids choose a school not because they play D1 football but because of other factors - outrageous I know - but it happens.
