  1. I'm on the fence about playing in this event. I haven't made one in the past due to other commitments, but this year I might be able to make time. I'm up to my eyeballs renovating a rental property I own and not sure if I can take a whole day off to play. What is the format, scramble or some type of 4 man best ball? I haven't played Portage CC in quite a while. It's not too long, but has fairly tight fairways. I would love to compete against some of my fellow ZN.O members for bragging rights.
  2. Wow, looking at those poll #'s I see no respect for our leader, CK. I do like the GP1, ITZ combo. It would be like Howard and Dandy Don all over again.
  3. The Zips need a new color guy for the radio brodcasts. Who from ZNO should apply? Sorry if I offended anyone by not putting your name in my poll. http://www.ohio.com/sports/100360304.html
  4. Here
  5. You'd be surprised how many student-athletes have kids. I'm sure your right about that. I just don't understand why this kid is making things difficult for himself. A baby is just one more obstacle and distraction. He has talent, but I question his work ethic and priorities.
  6. Howards baby momma gave birth to his child a week or so ago. Just one more reason that he will never see the field for anybody.
  7. It looks like ESPN is now regreting their decision to put LBJ on primetime. ESPN calls Foul. Full Report
  8. 23x4....the cumulative IQ of the folks in the picture??? .....
  9. Bernie didn't go willingly. The fact that he got a Superbowl ring, is a totally different situation than how LeBum is leaving town.
  10. Since it appears that you are an expert on those topics, why don't you start one.
  11. Z-P nailed it. My son is just about to start his 5th year of youth football. The most serious injuries if have seen were caused by large piles and limbs being twisted and fallen on. The equipment and the rules prevent almost any highspeed collisions. His helmets fit his head like a glove and the shoulder pads really do work to prevent injuries.
  12. Look here if you are his friend.
  13. Check this out. I like what read on his page. Apparently what ever he said was not for public consumption. Its blocked from view. Please let us know what he said.
  14. I want the real CK back! Did Zach hijack you login?
  15. I found it interesting that the coach didn't mention Josh's teammate Henninger when he talked about the warrior attitude that led them to the title. He mentioned the other key players, but not Henninger.
  16. I'm not usually a fan of Bill Livingston, the sports columnist for the PD, but I think his column today nails it for me. For LeBron James, there is no winning exit strategy in free agency: Bill Livingston
  17. He's closer to 30 than you are to 50! No, I'm talking about Jammal. D.I.G. is older than dirt!
  18. Hey, he's closer to 40 than I am!
  19. I remember that play. It was just another of the remarkable plays that Jammal made during his Zips career. I got to know Jimmal pretty well after his playing days at UA. I haven't seen him for a few years now. I wonder if he still has any hops left in those legs? It appears that he is still going strong at close to 40 years old. He still is playing in France and averaged over 24 minutes per game. http://www.eurobasket.com/player.asp?Cntry...p;PlayerID=6542
  20. Dan had a new job within weeks of his contract not being renewed. Head Strength & Conditioning Coach It was actually a blessing for Dan and his family, as they are now closer to their families. Both Dan and his wife are natives of Nebraska.
  21. If your gonna post this crap, at least post it in the correct forum. http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?showforum=7
  22. I didn't change a thing since the last time I tried to access ZNO and I am no longer getting the security warning. Win XP and IE8.
  23. +1 .. one of your better ones. Though I think there's several people that would find their way to the ledge before me.
  24. Well, in part this is a perceptive statement on GP's behalf. After a quarter-century of liberalism and neo-liberalism (from both parties, but especially the GOP), Democrats have been shaken awake by the grassroots of their party to realize that the gap between rich and poor is the greatest it has been in over a century of wealth and opportunity maldistribution. The last time that inequality was this great, we had a progressive era (led in part by that icon of Republicans, Teddy Roosevelt), and a populist movement that was brutally opposed by fed troops. But on the other hand, one of my favorite (comedic) statements from American "conservatives" is the deadpan remark, "The US is a center-right nation". Well of course it is dummy! There are only two political parties allowed in the US, one in the center, and one on the right! America will change if and when it is permitted to have a full political spectrum, instead of two thirds of one. And don't get me wrong, I'm not personally a supporter of "left-of-center" (by international standards) politicians. But, the influence and impact of having the involvement of a real left would be huge. Even a "tiny" and relatively irrelevant left-of-center party like the New Democrats puts Canada to the left of the US, even though their other two parties are center (Liberals) and right (Tories). This lack of a "real left" is what allows out-of-this-world rhetoric like calling middle-of-the-road Democrats, like the current POTUS the 'S' word. The other effect of that is to legitimize some of the elements of the far left who are often as loony as their opponents on the Tea Party right. That would make for a good routine on Comedy Central. After all, thats where most of the left gets their talking points.
  25. I'm in. Let me know when I'm on the tee!
