  2. That and the fact that every member has twenty items for their signature makes it the most unreadable board I've ever seen.
  3. I thought Toledo played their hearts out last night. Their senior leaders really stepped up for this game.
  4. Dave and I will be there all day. 10th year running for me also. I'm thankfull that we have a reason to be there.
  5. The pass from Humpty to Brett on the inbounds pass was a thing of beauty. Definately HOF material.
  6. Skip, Are you so old that you can't remeber what it was like to be 18? This kid is not some seasoned pro or even a college senior. Give him time.
  7. Simple, It was the same clock operator that let Miami have a couple of extra ticks 2 years ago.
  8. Bye Bye felon.http://www.ohiomm.com/blogs/mcmanamon/2009...ent-state-game/
  9. It appears to me that KD has morphed into some kind of Charlie Coles clone. Slow it down, keep it close and try to win the last 3 minutes. ITS NOT WORKING! I thought that with our deep bench we would try to run other teams out of the Gym in the second half of most games.
  10. Steve French told Dambrot that in the post game interview. Dambrot's reply - "Why don't you tell the guys that on the bus ride to K.e.n.t. Sunday?"Maybe I'm missing something, but that makes it sound as if that's what KD has been trying to tell the players, they aren't listening, and he wants someone else to reinforce his message. It makes no sense at all that KD can't get players to shoot earlier in the shot clock, unless KD is so hard on them when they miss that no one wants to risk feeling his wrath. If that's the case, then the only solution is for KD to back off a notch on the player criticisms. No one else can do that for him.I think what French was really getting at was, why does it take the Zips 9.5 seconds on every possesion to get the ball in the front court. Just a little bit of hustle could get an extra 5 seconds of time to run a play.
  11. ZW, I think you nailed it on this one. If we can somehow find our way on offense again, we could easily be the favorite. Defensively we can keep most teams in check, but we gotta find a way to put the ball in the hole!
  12. Expect more zone defense against the Zips. Until our guards start making open shots we are going to struggle.
  13. I predict OU in a 2-3 zone defense until we prove we can beat one.
  14. There are more possibilities than you might think to get the bye.I'll take any one of them. I don't want to play on Tuesday.
  15. I think the most important thing is to NOT have to play on Tuesday. To have that happen, we need Miami and Can't to lose tonight and Miami to lose on Sunday. Miami finishes with BG and Buffalo, a Can't loss tonight vs Buffalo eliminates them from contention even if they beat us Sunday. That way we don't need to worry about winning Sunday at Can't. That assumes that we win tonight against OU. Getting the #1 seed would be nice, but I think this is a more realistic goal. Flame Suit On!
  16. I think there might have been too much pressure for Rybak at this level. I thought that he was going to throw up every time he went into the game. He always had a terrified look in his face whenever he played.
  17. I would hope that Zeke can come in and compete at a higher level than Sweich. My guess is that Sweich's competetion was a bunch of rural programs. Sweich didn't play on a high level AAU team or the WPIAL. He didn't attend the King James Classic and compete against the other high ranked highschoolers. Will he average a double-double, no, but he should be able to see the floor.
  18. Well I guess there are now 3002 season ticket holders. I just forked over $1175 for 5 seats. My biggest concern is not knowing where my seat location is right now. There is no such thing as a seating chart yet. I was told we will have a day sometime this spring/summer to choose our seat location. I went through this once before with the Browns. After they came back in the new stadium, we had to pay PSL's for seats without even knowing where they would be. After we got our seat location, they were much worse than our seats at the old Muni stadium. I hope this works better this time with UA.
  19. Two words...Steve Sweich
  20. I thought it was a classic example of C Coles in action. Try and keep the game close, then win the last 2 minutes for a victory. Humpty was outstanding tonite in the end game. He scored 7 points in the final minutes that effectively put the game out of reach for the Redhawks. C McKnight had a great second half with 16 points. At one point in the first half, we were 1 for 17 from the field. Of course Miami was only 2 for 17 and the score was 5-3. When Politz threw in that prayer(He Traveled) while rolling around on the floor, I had a few moments of worry. Chris and Humpty took over and the Zips pulled away. Big win!
  21. In honor of today. I prefer Chocolate Cupcakes.
  22. If playing Sunday games is what it takes to watch a quality-ref'd game, count me in for changing all our games to Sundays. It was great to watch a basketball game and not a free throw shooting contest. It looks like Dave knows good officiating when he sees it.http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/200..._87_wmu_63.html
  23. WMU senior David Kool complimented the Zips progress this season.http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/200...lineup_aft.html
  24. Nate is the master of the "Circus Shot". He makes at least one outragous basket per game. Usually a 35 ft running 3pt shot or some kind of underhand reverse hoop-d-doo reverse layup with three guys guarding him. And lots of floor burns and charging calls against who ever he is guarding. I love the guy.
