  1. Who interjected race into this discussion? The only racist a-hole on this board is YOU.
  2. Nice write up by Terry Pluto in the PD. http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/blog/index...._without_j.html
  3. I think it was the right move by KD. This team is defensively good enough to win the MAC, but still needs help on offense.
  4. Keep beating the drum skip ... keep beating it. Maybe you can post this in all the football threads too?Have you completely forgotten that Wood went down in the Western game and didn't play in the Northern game? All everyone is saying is that all 6 games appear to be winnable. And anything can happen.Go Zips!!Details, Details, Details...
  5. During the post game show, Frenchy said this was the last game of a 4 game contract. He said he didn't think there would be anymore games in the near future.
  6. Zips put it together in the second half and win easily 67-54. Nik plays his most complete game yet. I think this will be the last we see of the Penguins for quite a while. The Zips have now won 18 out of the last 19 meetings.
  7. hey... lets keep that to yourself, okay?I don't know, maybe we need to see a picture or two!
  8. Sorry CK I just missed it this week. Maybe one of our other Zips fans were listening.
  9. What were the factors that made the coaching staff decide to use Brett McClanahan this season, instead of having him red-shirt?
  10. We need shooters. This year we are shooting 32% on three's,compared to last year at 38%. We get lots of open looks from the three point line. If we made more it would open things up inside. I agree with CK, Dambrot senses that the MAC is wide open this year so go for it!
  11. I wonder if burning McClanahan's redshirt was a planned event or a spur of the moment decision? Since it happened, it would be a shame if he didn't get decent floor time. I think we need another shooter on this team and I hope he can hit the open looks we are getting on offense.
  12. I get the feeling that Conyers is really emotionally fragile. It seems that when things start going downhill he just shuts down instead of turning it up a notch. KD keeps talking about how this team doesn't have the belief system that previous squads have possesed. I wonder who is the leader on the floor for this years team.
  13. I'm one of the unfortunate souls unable to tune in tonight. Can you say more specifically what was said about Steve Sweich? He said that Steve is a nice kid , but the coach needs to play his best players and Steve isn't one of them. I felt he was pretty blunt about it. So based on who has played when the games count, he is behind a couple of walk ons. My read on the answer, bolstered by being at a couple of practices is different than Hilltopper's.What Keith said was "Steve's a good kid .. has a great attitude (answering part of the question). He's working hard in practice, does what we're asking .. but I have to put my best team on the floor .. and right now .. that doesn't include Steve."I really don't think he inferred anything more than the current state of things .. and from asking him at a practice .. it's things that Steve is working through that will get him on the floor. Let's try not to put finality on a guy who hasn't cracked the lineup in the first 15 games of a 100+ game career. My take ..Go Zips! Thanks ZW for clarifying what KD said. I'm not ready to say he is a bust and I don't think KD is either. But the people on the board who are clamoring for more PT for Steve need to hear it from the coach. The coach says he is not ready for more PT and we should accept that.
  14. Answer: The coach isn't in charge of marketing. But he does have a Masters in the subject!
  15. Answer: Says we should be willing to try anything at this point. If we put our best defensive team out there we can't score and just the oppisite for our best offensive combination.
  16. Answer: Says the team still isn't mentally tough enough to withstand much adversity. Says we are a defensive minded team without an identity on offense. Hopes it comes with experience. Some of the younger guys have kinda hit the wall(Humpty).
  17. Answer: Basically no comment. appreciates what fans we have. Still working towards a bigger goal long range(New Arena)etc...
  18. Answer: Nick had a nice run of games earlier in the season . We had to sit him down for a while because he was letting his emotions get the better of him. We have been working on that with him. He's got alot of passion.
  19. Answer: I can't worry about next year or guys we don't have. We are trying to get things going on offense right now.
  20. Answer: We thought Ronnie had a medical setback. We took him to the doctor and everything is progressing OK, but he is not ready to return.
  21. Answer: Steve is a nice kid. The coach has to play his best players and Steve is not one of them.
  22. Answer: We have contacted CSU and they are not intrested.

  24. They asked KD every question. He answered them all. Things don't look good for Sweich.
