They also interviewed Utomi and Cotton. Daniel said the team never lost faith that they could come back for the win. That this is a new Zips team than the one that lost those games at the beginning of MAC play. Cotton said never in his basketball career had a coach drawn up a play at the end of a game for him to take the final shot. He also said he had never had a chance to win or lose a game at the foul line at the end like last night. Pretty heady stuff for a guy who a few members of ZN.o had written off as a lost cause.

The A-10 schools have a definite advantage in recruiting over the MAC in Ohio and Pa. No need to travel all the way to Texas.

Ohio has 11 million in population and 13 D-1 programs. All of which are mid-majors or higher. Texas has 28 million in population and 21 D-1 schools. 6 of those schools are low level D-1 or branch campuses. Ohio is also surrounded by states with large numbers of D-1 schools.

Relationships are with coaches not schools. Just because those kids ended up at UA doesn't mean the new staff can just go to Houston and expect the same results overnight.

The odds of him getting any meaningful pt next year is pretty slim. The amount of practice and time away from class makes it tough to justify being on the team if you're not going to play.
