The OOC schedule doesn't really matter anyhow. People need to realized the MAC will never get an at-large tournament bid. The actual season begins in January.

I think we will need to play with more physicality than our opponents.

It would be great to see the Zips play a clean game. No stupid celebration penalties after a score or a sack. No shanked kickoffs or punts No surrendering 95+ yard drives No muffed kickoff or punt returns No letting the opponent drive the length of the field in the closing seconds of the half or game. i can dream, can’t I?

If we win our first game, is it too soon to fret over Groce leaving, and begin speculation on the potential replacement candidates?

Zips are going to get the best effort from every opponent this season. They have a target on their back. Etc.

Simmons was a beast today. Hope we keep riding him for the remainder of the season. Congrats to Tahj as well. He’s had every reason to pout or mope, but he was ready when his number was called today. He was great.

Usually we’re tortured until the last second, and lose. It would be great if this was the start of the “win by a little” segment, and the “lose by a little” is over.

It feels that way because the announcers keep calling the eastern QB Finley. You can rack up a lot of yards when you QB both teams.

The announcers still get confused on which team is which.🤪

If they played South Carolina, Ohio State and Rutgers to begin the season, and dealt with all the budget cut related issues we have I doubt they would have 6…5…or 4 wins. They are maybe 1/10 of a notch better than Akron, but with a table much better set for success.
