I know. KSU found a way to put 17 points on the board. Would have to go back to see how many of those points were a gift from Miami.

I ALWAYS expect a win over rival KSU. They have struggled to score points all year. Even banged up and clueless on offense (Milwee) we should beat them handily at our place. We're leaking oil again heading into MAC title and bowl season. We'll be lucky to play in Detroit (beat OU to get there? Doubt it) and we'll probably be fed what's left of the bowls (doubt we have enough to compete well there). We're on the same page though I may be more optimistic than you regarding the KSU game.

This pretty much sums it up for me. Looking like 6-6 and that's an apathetic 'meh ...' for me this far into Bowden's tenure. I was hoping for and expecting more than another bowl of potatoes.

Very happy with the win (a nod to CK). Nice effort in the final 15 minutes as mentioned above; kept the pressure on ND. I would not have awarded the 2nd PK; contact appeared to be just outside of the box. Still not happy about the loss at Western but beating ND helps.

I don't believe we would have needed the auto bid in the recent past. Pretty sure strength of schedule, outside of the MAC, and results would have garnered selection. Nice safety net though in a 'down' year.

Will slow the bleeding at Buffalo but won't stop it as long as the NCAA requires 16 sports and the MAC requires the elephant in the room - football. There just isn't enough endowment, fan intere$t, private/corporate donation, TV revenue and licensing revenue to sustain the required level of athletic spending at the vast majority of D1 institutions.

I just absolutely don't know what to say. College sports financing is completely out of control. I guess the days of the Phys Ed teacher also coaching men's and women's basketball are pretty much over, correct?
