Listening to the football game was a highlight as I sat in the stands at Cleveland State watching our Zips lose 2-1 to CSU and look like crap doing so.
Three (Akron, EMU, BGSU) MAC schools IN the Bottom 10 and three (CMU, BSU, Buffalo)on the waiting list.
A truly pathetic conference, making iCoach's run towards a defeated season all the more remarkable.
NOT a coach.
By many accounts, including my own opportunity to meet him shortly after he arrived on campus, not a very nice/personable guy.
A BIG mistake, regardless of talent, that we're paying dearly for now and will continue to do so for quite some time.
I'm going to listen to the rest of the game just to see when Frenchy tells Faust "SHUT UP and quit talking when I'm trying to call the game!" Did anybody coach Gerry on how to be a color analyst?
Used up quite a bit of Whoop-Ass tonight! UM students were pretty quiet as they exited out gate 2 after the game. Long ride back to Michigan knowing they got it handed to them. Man I love it when we take it to the big ten!
What a ride ...
Isn't Men's Soccer playing Buffalo tomorrow?
D.I.G. brings up a good point about rooting against Ianello. Regardless of the situation, I could never root against the Zips. But at some point, an iCoached team needs to pick up a W to soothe the diehards, even if just for a week. The longer we have to wait, the more unlikely it will seem to us that a turn-around ochestrated by him will ever occur.
Enough specualtion. Go Zips!!! Beat the Kitties!!!
Why ... yes indeed they do. Looked at the WMU schedule to double-check and still had it wrong by a week. Thanks JZ.
Same score ... Bulls 0 Zips 5.
No way again this week ...
Akron 13
OU 38
On the other hand, Caleb's well-coached, very talented, and highly confident soccer squad will toast Buffalo later in the day at home ...
Buffalo 0
Akron 5
*** Edited to correct who the heck we're playing in soccer tomorrow. ***
Bill Morgan was on his game again tonight ... way to chuck those marshmallow questions at iCoach.
What a waste of a half-hour.
iCantCoach mentioned that he gets home early enough on Thursday nights to eat with the family and break away from recruiting calls to head upstairs to be with the kids when it's bedtime ...
"Oh iDaddy, won't you read just one more thread from ZipsNation? PLEASE?!? We especially like the Captain's Blog series and can't wait to see how it turns out this year!"
