Yeah, just shook my head when one of the guys asked the other how deep a run he thought the Irish might make in this years tournament. Turned to the two people I was with at The Tap House and said "Well, I guess this game is over - time to go." Time to EARN some respect by winning a game or two while Dancing one of these years (see VCU, Gonzaga, George Mason).

There were 10-12 missed layups or bunnies in the Miami game last Thursday and it continued through the MAC championship game. Poor/inconsistent shooting caught up with us today. Sure hope we have a couple of 'automatics' coming in next year. Never knew what our shooting percentage was going to be with this group for some reason Congrats Zips on a very nice season.

Question to all of the major and mid-major coaches out there - how many of you would like to play Akron on something resembling a neutral court? .... ... Yeah, didn't think too many of you would. Call any time though - plenty of early-season November and December dates available for 2011 and beyond. Bigger-name, early-season tourneys? You bet - again, give us a call ... assuming you have the 'blessing' of the aforementioned coaches. GO ZIPS!!!

Since I'm the winner, whats my prize Bob Barker? I also was able to purchase two lower-level half-court seats. It was GREAT! I had a blast. I'm thinking about splurging for two lower-level season tickets next year. The three of us had back row, lower-level seats in section D last night and ended up moving back upstairs to our upper-chairbacks because we couldn't see the entire court. Should have taken row 2 when I had the chance but wanted to be back away from the court a bit. Man the JAR sucks. It was great to see and talk to Steve Swiech last night. The guy just loves and misses Akron and is a very genuine person. Love his enthusiasm and the way he handled his lack of playing time and departure from Akron.

I usually go this route. Teams like Eastern (poor fan base), Central (distance), and Northern Illinois (distance) are usually looking to try to get SOMETHING for the stack of tickets their obligated to buy as part of the tourney 'deal.' Have also considered trying one of the street vendors but haven't tried that yet.

Picked up three tickets in lower level at center court late this afternoon. Ticket office person said they were fairly busy today. Have already cleared the schedule at work for the early games in Cleveland on Thursday. 2000 tops tomorrow night.

Would MUCH have preferred to see Can't take care of business to put us in much better position for a bye. I do NOT want to play another game at home - the less wear-and-tear, the better. OK ... time to hit the road and take down the Bobcats. Would love to see that happen AND see Buffalo beat Miami Wednesday night to set up a battle for the MAC title Friday night. GO ZIPS!
