I got the same impression. I walked up to Thomas at the last home football game before he left to congratulate him on the Cincy job and he gave me the same kind of look before quickly moving along to more important things/people (or at least that is how I felt).

Family Plan is the way to go for my wife, two kids, and I. $120 includes four tickets to each of the five home games, INCLUDING the Army game (I just called the ticket office to confirm). That's $6 per ticket, including the Army game at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

If I remember correctly, he also had a running game behind him. Wow ... a line, receivers who have time to run their routes and run them well, and running backs who have holes opened up for them and have the ability to take advantage of them. I'm a Browns fan. Otherwise, I'd LOVE to see pretty boy Quinn get a dose or two of what Charlie has taken. I'll bet his "pro-style" pocket presence would suffer just a little.

Fantastic news if it is true. I believe in this guy and love that we have one of our own bleeding Akron Blue and Gold along with the rest of us.

When my wife and I were dating back in the early 90s, I took her to an Akron football game. She has a teaching degree from Ohio A&M so I thought it was pretty cool that the band performed script "Zips" that day. Unfortunately, the band member who had the honor of dotting the "i" dotted the "p" instead!?! To this day, my wife swears "Fiat Lux" on the University of Akron seal means "Learn to read!"

Maybe I should have told my kids "See those parking lots, houses, dorms, & businesses? That is where we had HOPED to put a new stadium ..." as we walked along the south side of the fieldhouse heading into the game yesterday. I've already got it in my head that I have less than 10 games to go at the Rubber Bowl. Come on Mack and U of A, get it done!

I would assume that Zip broadcasts have priority over Columbus Blue Jacket hockey?Hey Clear Channel - jack the transmission tower up a few more feet and turn up the power a bit so I can actually hear Zip football and basketball broadcasts way out in Norton and Copley Ohio. I know, I know ... regulated by the FCC Hey Mack - figure out a way to convince 640AM to send Can't State and Bill Needle packing in favor of Akron and Steve French. Can't and Needle belong on something like 1350 where nobody can hear them.
