I like Steve French, and I don't really have an opinion of Frank Stams. But, I am amazed at the criticism of Joe Dunn. How much more knowledge does he have to have? I think he does a hell of a job, not just for Akron U , but here locally on the high school scene, too. Wow, different styles appeal to different people, i get that, but, I just don't see how Joe could do a better job for us.

The ohiofan wonders why we have the MAC Champs emotion on our board? Wonder what he's been doing since the end of last basketball season. Maybe we should send him the links to our football, soccer and track teams. You guys had a nice run with your hoops team last year, but it's just about over, don't you think? You're not going to win the MAC tourney this season. Maybe, if "Frank the tank " can stay sober, your football team might be able to win more than your usual 3 or 4 games. Huh? Replace Steve French? Really? I disagree with you, I very much enjoy him ( or at least what I can hear thru all the static and whistling). I think it's refreshing to have someone who I consider to be a fan of the program doing the broadcasts for us. Go Zips!

I'd be happy to share our new stadium with any tenant who wanted to play there. So long as everyone understands that it is to be BUILT ON CAMPUS and it is OUR stadium. If a pro soccer team wants to come to Akron to play, I say bring 'em in, collect the rent. Why not? The more the merrier. I don't claim to know the first thing about the state of professional soccer in this area, but, my best guess is that they aren't gonna want to contribute to our project.

Has an Akron spring game ever been televised before? I don't get ONN, so I am curious. Regardless, I think that's a cool thing. I, however, will be attending the game, of course.

I thought Mike Thomas was doing a nice job. He got a lot accomplished while he was here. I just wish he'd have stayed long enough to get the new stadium started. I feel, it would have been done the right way, if he had stayed. With new AD, Mack Rhoades, in place, I am hopeful, but there is no real track record for me to look at.

This toledorockets guy just never quits. He thinks every comment made on this site is in reference to Toledo. Get over yourself, dude. Yes, you guys have a nice football program, and a good coach, but you don't have to whole MAC to yourself. Akron is doing a nice job recruiting and it's starting to show on the field of play. Guess what, you're gonna have to deal with the Zips for the next few years. Are you guys gonna be able to keep up? Show us on the football field. I am amazed at how worried you are about Zips athletics. You're concerned because we're on the rise. We get it already! Remember, we're :macc: ,not your rockets.

Yea, yea yea, I know it's good for the MAC. But I still freaking hate Pittsburgh, and Ben right along with it. I had to sit in Yager stadium this year and watch a highlight (on their beautiful huge jumbotron) of him beating the Zips on the last play of the game. I felt it was classless, then and it still pisses me of everytime I see him play in the NFL. Sorry, but I am not so quick to forget. I have no use for Ben or for Pittsburgh, either.
