  1. Didn't Mike Brake get a couple of seasons on the St. Louis Rams?
  2. I stopped by the fieldhouse to catch a little bit of the Zips scrimmage this morning and I noticed Kasparek and Nate Robinson were in shorts and helmets. Any idea what injuries these guys have?
  3. That sounds so freaking good. Every little bit of football talk just fires me up. Carlton Jackson sounds like he's having a good spring. I am anxious to see him play on the 15 th. Maybe Jacquemain better start learning to run those pass routes after all. Hey, it's worked out for Jabari.
  4. When JD said the schedule was "extremely challenging", I believe he was really saying " Are you freaking kidding me? 5 of our first 6 games are on the road! Thanks for the screwing. "
  5. Very cool. Except, I believe someone will take a shot on Hixon somewhere on day two.
  6. I am most worried about the linebackers. i think howe is a key. he's an animal and a hitter , but he needs to stay healthy.
  7. It's great to hear that Blackburn will be fine. I was wondering how that would go. How about adding an inch to your neck size? Good luck to Chase!
  8. Everything here is correct..BUT..The question remains. How did BG get it set up? WHY are THEY coming to Cleveland to play? What's the connection? They are going to get killed and I don't see any reason why they would draw a big crowd. Wisconsin doesn't intrigue people in this area, do they? I can be in Cleveland in 30 minutes from my doorstep, but I wouldn't go to that game if it were free. I don't see the appeal. Does anyone else? Wouldn't both teams have been better off finacially if they had played the game a Camp Randall Stadium? I am sure it would have been a sellout up there.
  9. When you win a division title by virtue of a tie-breaker, you gotta say you were a bit lucky. This season will be different. Expectations are high and I feel like Brookhart will have the boys ready when the time comes. He had them playing their best football at the end on the season in '05 and certainly succeded in motivating them at crunch time. :macc: Summer isn't even on the horizon, yet, and I can't wait for football season. Sick, huh?
  10. Personally, I like for the Saturday games to start at 4. The atmosphere is nice as the sun goes down and the lights start to take over. The later the better for any games that are being played on weeknights as far as I am concerned. Those are usually thru the week for television purposes anyway, so the time is dictated by ESPN. :macc:
  11. I totally agree with you about the Zips d-line.
  12. I see Ohio being mentioned more and more, but I don't believe they will be a factor this year or next for that matter. They were terrible here at the Rubber Bowl last season and from what I could tell, their recruiting classes haven't been as strong as ours or Miami's either. I am sure they'll be better than Can't and Buffalo, but a contender? I'll have to see it to believe it.
  13. Of course everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but, I like the idea of another bowl game for a MAC team. I don't really care if it is a new game or one already in existence. I believe that the more times MAC teams are seen on television, the better the recruiting will be.
  14. So, let me get this straight? We are not supposed ask questions on here? You people are nuts! The guy asked if anyone could verify or dispell something that he had heard. Isn't that the purpose of this site, INFORMATION? Personally, I made a call or two and found out that nobody had left the team. Then, I posted the info that I was able to find out , but I didn't yell at the guy for asking. Good grief, give it a rest, you guys make me tired.
  15. Yea, I was afraid Pittsburgh might give Hixon a look after they lost Randel El. I'll wish him well anywhere he plays, but God do I freaking HATE Pittsburgh.
  16. Personally, I like the helmet now. I like Zippy and the A together. I loved the retro jerseys from the Can't State (blizzard) game last year, but I prefer the new helmet logo to the old ones.
  17. I think that the lack of experience at wr will be a factor early in the season. Jabari seemed to be coming on last yr and if he takes over the way I believe he can, then look out! I think the o-line should be fine and so should the running game as a result.
  18. Thank guys for the really entertaining season and for the effort last night. I hope next season is as much fun.
  19. No offense to JD and his staff is intended, but that fieldhouse is the single greatest recruiter this university has ever had. When NFL players walk in and their jaws drop, then you know you have quite a facility. Of course high school kids are going to give you a second look, especially if they've seen the piss poor facilities that other schools have to offer.
  20. Nonfootball season is just that, it's not football season. I spend time looking at old rosters, future recruits, and basically just counting the days until it IS football season. Spring practices and the intrasquad game help, but it is very short lived. Yes, it's a sickness and I am afflicted. :macc:
  21. Nice of Creighton to list a few facts for the fans. How about that home winning streak? Nice!
  22. Hmm, I don't remember needing a season ticket last year and it was in the fieldhouse. Of course things have changed a bit since we are now :macc:
