Radio: Akron-IMG Sports Network – SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF) in Akron (flagship) and for free at GoZips.com/TuneIn. Steve French (play-by-play) and Joe Dunn (analyst) will have the call beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Word is out on the street: load up against our run and put the game in the hands of (or through the hands of) our receivers. We will need a couple of big plays, somehow, some way...
I'm excited about it since it looks like Pohl will play (if I'm decoding the coachspeak correctly), giving us a better chance to win. I hope Woodson plays some too, to get back on the horse and show that he is progressing, without the whole weight of the game on his back. Beating the Zoomba's is always good in and of itself, regardless of the conference race. Still need to run the ball and get 1st downs to set up some big plays. Reducing turnovers is a plus but not the determining factor.
It's nice that we're getting some health status on our QB out of Chicago, even if it conflicts with what's been reported locally...how weird is that and who is their source? BTW, let's remember BG lost their #1 QB Matt Johnson in Game 1 so they are playing with a backup also.
This happened to one of his former HS teammates: http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/story/27054220/2014/10/27/doctors-amputate-teens-leg-after-football-injury?clienttype=mobile
If that's the case then Hirschman should have gone in when Woodson went into meltdown mode. I don't think anyone's demanding a championship this year, but at least try to win. That's what you're being paid a lot of money to do.
