  1. Buffalo is the team to beat in the MAC right now. I am not at all surprised they were picked. I can't wait to see them in the JAR.
  2. Zips fan, what did the guy say? chill out my friend.Jupiter, 13-3 should be very attainable. I will live with the zips loosing 3 games in the mac. My guess is that the remaining 2 will be 2 of the following 4 (at Miami, at Can't, at WMU, and at ball state). 13-3 is still very achievable.
  3. In what sport does a team shoot 17 freaking free throws in 20 minutes of play? can we please play basketball instead?
  4. Hipsher started 8-1 in the MAC? or overall? Also, that youtube clip is amazing.
  5. Does anyone know what is our all time best MAC start? Would 3-0 be our best MAC start ever?
  6. The zips shouldn't take the bulls lightly. Afterall, they are the best NCAA team in Canada.
  7. We have a school of communication. Those students would love to produce, direct, and create programs. I work for a 3500 student university and we have our shows produced by students.
  8. Apparently, Tom feels that seeing his face on you tube is more important than seeing the game. The best part remains that i am paying for the damn service. This is getting old.
  9. That would have been a pretty good post if you had stopped there. You proved me right by not providing a solution. Complaining about the current situation is easy. Finding a solution is the tough part
  10. The RPI is not a perfect system but until someone comes up with a better solution, RPI remains the most valid way to compare and rank basketball teams.Does anyone have a better solution? we know the AP voters can't watch all 300+ teams play and therefore they cannot rank teams all the way. Also we can't make all 300+ teams play each other. And we learned in 2007 that you can't simply go by the number of wins. So like it or not, RPI it is.
  11. Because it is very easy to force Malone, St. Francis, and Mount union to commit TOs, much harder when you play Providence, VCU, and OK State
  12. Great win for the good guys. I can't believe how a guy can grab 4 times the rebounds that anyone else on the team has grabbed (12 to 3). Keep it up Jimmy. We didn't do particularly well on rebounding or ball handling, but talk about shooting the lights out (56% on threes)I am sure KD is looking into ways of getting Zeke more comfortable during games, where is Jeff Boals when you need him? ...right - in Columbus.
  13. Is there anyway we can see the game tonight?
  14. So Gozips, you are saying that there was a signed contract that calls for CSU to come to the JAR but they chose not to?isn't there any kind of penalty for breaching out of contract? If not then what's the point in signing contracts?
  15. I totally agree with you. The video is working now. But that's really frustrating and i am not renewing my subscription either.
  16. I like the depth of our team but sometimes i feel that too much depth can hurt you as much as it helps. The positive side is of course the fact that we should be injury prone and able to replace anybody in the lineup, on the other side, it may be slowing down the development of underclassmen. I remember players like (Middleton, Linhart, Joyce, and Travis) came and started playing significant minutes in their freshman year. A year later, you could see those guys being significantly better than the day they started, they look much more confident and mature. With the depth of our teams in the last 2 years, the minutes have to be split between all the players which (in my very amateur opinion as a fan) doesn't help the development of Nik, Mclannahan, Steward, and even Humpty as the confident mature players that should take control of a game. The lack of this confidence was shown in the last minutes against Austin Peay, and also Ark PB and mainly in the way we shoot free throws. In the Mac tournament, having a deep team will be very beneficial, but until then, how would KD convince everyone that they are important and build up their confidence?I don't have an answer but when i think about it, i feel grateful that Parrish decided to transfer out and i am not sure if KD wants Sullivan or Mclannahan to follow him.
  17. If you can get the game site changed to UIC in the next 19 minutes, that will work.Do they only broadcast games at home? My bad then. i thought they did all of their games.
  18. I have the zipszone package so i will be watching there. If you don't, the horizon league usually provide a free webcast so check the UIC website.
  19. Unlike the rest of you, i am not freaking out and i don't see any stabs involved. Caleb had a lot of talent that was sitting on (or coming off) the bench last year (Mwila, speas, and Caldwell). With the departure of Bunbury, Gavin, and Nagbe (if true) those guys will step up and become starters and the team will not miss a beat. This is part of being a top 5 team so get used to it happening. I also agree with Zach that Caleb wants the kids who are ready to go out and reach their potential, he can use that when recruiting. What other school can say that they sent 3 underclassmen to the MLS in one year?
  20. Proenza was born and raised in Mexico. Came to the states at the age of 17.
  21. Dave, I agree with your comments regarding loving your team regardless of opponents and facilities. However, i don't think that scheduling competitive, fan attracting games is as hard as you make it sound. If we want to use the RPI as a measuring stick, KD can leave out the top 30 RPI teams (too hard to beat) and also decide not to play any team with an RPI lower than 200. That still leaves 170 teams to schedule and we only need 10-15 ooc opponents.I understand that KD wants us to play a lot of games at home but i sriously fail to see the point in playing a stretch of Malone, UNCG (226) and St. Francis (325). I would rather play a decent team on a home-away basis especially if the away game is within a driving distance.
  22. How about the Brazil of North America.
  23. I wish i could make it down to the JAR tonight to greet the team. Those of you who can make it, please go ahead and do so. Also, please make sure you show lots of love to coach Porter. He needs to understand that the Hoosiers fans will not love him more than we do and that he should remain a ZIP for good.
  24. Those pics are great but i was hoping to see pics of the crowds. Anybody was there with a digital camera?
  25. The ACC is really dominating this sport. 4 teams in the elite 8 are from ACC. That's 50%.
