Captain, i'll throw the Ken Lolla argument again. Why did he leave?Ken and Caleb are confident enough that they will build great teams wherever they go. OSU soccer coach title is not better than Akron's. But their facilities are better, and the money may be better.If you were Caleb, wouldn't you like to have more than 2450 fans attend your games? zipseuph, that's a good argument but like i said above, caleb knows that he has a very special team in Akron but he is confident that he will have equally special teams wherever he goes.

He's a human being and has dreams and aspirations just like the rest of us. Saying that he wouldn't leave because OSU doesn't have a soccer culture is (with all due respect) a ridiculous argument, did Louisville have a soccer culture when Lolla went there? Some people up in the administration have to make some serious decisions. We have a #1 team made mostly of Sophomores and Freshmen... we have the potential to win 3 back to back to back national championships, we have people who are willing to pay money to watch this team (while standing on the grass) but they are getting turned down because the games are sold out. Dr. Proenza, Mr. Curtis, and Mr. Wistrscill, the ball is in your park.

This team is absolutely amazing! They just dominate whoever they play.I hope the poll makers can see and apreciate these results. My guess is they are waiting around the corner, if we ever stumble in one game and tie with a good team in a game somewhere, we will drop to like 10th position in the ranking.

Yeah because we would hate to have a Zydrunas Ilgauskas type of player with the zips. That would be a terrible thing. A 7-2 all star with a great mid range shooting ability but not very athletic. Even Kentucky would hate to have a guy like Z. If he stayed commited to kentucky, you would have seen other stuff on their boards now. Athletic is a relative term. I don't think any MAC players/recruits (except maybe Zeke Marshall) will be considered athletic by Calipari's standards. So what do we do? psh, I don't care if they dropped open enrollment, OSU will never be a very strong university. Shoot, their not even the best public school in Ohio!Let's keep things in perspective here. I am as big on the zips as can be and I hate OSU (in the athletic/rivalry) sense of the word. However, like it or not, OSU IS a very strong University and IS the best public school in Ohio. Me and you are not qualified to evaluate universities and rank them. That's why people buy the US news report and similar publications.I couldn't be prouder of my Akron degrees and my zips, and i love the growth and improvement i see in Akron every day, but i don't think making foolish statements ridiculing other schools help us with anything.
