But when someone is with the program in their 3rd year, i expect them to start showing some results. When i watch Bardo, I do not see him dominating on the deffensive side, Humpty (5-10) gets more rebounds, and a total joke on offense.Again, i know he's a big guy and they are not easy to come around and Bardo is a great guy etc... but when you have two other big guys (one real big and one relatively big) who may be able to fill the gap and produce on both sides of the floor, don't you want to give them a chance? I have seen great things from Nik in the limited time he had (why he doesn't play anymore is beyond me). Swiech is becoming a cheerleader on the bench, he played a total of 6 minutes in the season!!!He is not a good deffender? Bardo isn't either. We know what Bardo can give, we won't know about Swiech until we try him. I will bet you money that if given Bardo's minutes, SS will double his rebounds and points production. I am affraid that my posting is starting to look like a "Bash Bardo" thing which is not the goal, i am just frustrated to sit through game after game, where one guy may make things better (may is bolded), but he is not even given a chance, not even in garbage time.I know that KD is the coach and he watches players in practice and he has the team's best interest in mind etc... I am just trying to understand, may be some of you with inside information on this board can help explain things. Is KD trying to push SS out? do we want him to transfer and free a scholarship now that we got Zeke? did he break KD's favourite coffee mug and now he hates him and is punishing him? did he date some adminitsrator's daughter and then dumped her so the boss wants him to suffer?

Bardo, Mike 19 0-0 0-0 0-0 0 3 1 0 0 2 2 0 19 minutes, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 TO, and 2 fouls. This is what Bardo can do in his 3rd year in the program against one of the worst DI teams. What did Nik and Swiech ever do to KD not to get a chance?

Things are not as rosy on my side here. I saw a bad zips team taking on a terrible opponent yesterday. The zips mannaged to win the game all right but they put their fans to sleep and didn't show any inside game potential.Jimmy, Linhart, McNeese, and Humpty were allright, they will take care of the ball, score on fast breaks, deffend the arc and shoot from outside... Brett McKnight seems to be the only one who goes inside eventhough he is more of a 2 or 3 player rather than a 4/5.Chris McKnight and Mile Bardo... Holly crapWhy on earth are these two getting all those minutes when they can't contribute jack (and i mean both sides of the floor). I don't remember seeing Chris taking a single layup/jump shot. Bardo seemed to play the old Connyers (give me the ball to give it back) game. Those 2 are in their 3rd year with the program and are supposed to make up our "veterans" inside game, when they fail so miserably, why can't we try other people? Why didn't Nik and Swiech get more time?

You have a great wife who loves you and wants to be with you, and let me re-iterate that she is a great woman, beautiful, nice, and taking good care of you. Out of sudden, for no understandable reason, you start comparing her to Jessica Alba and saying how Jessica is sexier and more attractive :blink: Jessica is not yours so you better accept that fact and show your wife the appreciation and respect she deserves or you will end up being alone.Same thing here, there is a coach who is great and doing a hell of a job and he wants to be at Akron. I am a little concerned with the fact that our only way to score seems to be from behind the arc. We don't have any inside offense as chris and Bardo are so soft and weak in the paint.I am glad we are finding a way to win, but soon enough we will face MAC teams with a better scouting report and they will guard us at the arc and there goes our offense down the drain. Was nice to see Zeke at the game on his birthday, good job by the few rowdies wishing him a happy b-day. Note: I can't believe that KD didn't throw Swiech in (not even in garbage time).

If KD wanted to go down that road, this current year would have been the right time to do it because we are very young and we had a ton of scholarships. But next year, when Ronnie, Humpty, and Nik all have a year under their belt and Conyers, the McKnights, Roberts, and Bardo are all seasonned players why exactly would we need a JUCO transfer? let alone the fact that no scholarship is available. I think it is just another lazy journalist who wanted to write story without much effort.

I don't like the idea of KD being the AD, not because he's not qualified or anything like that. I drove for 2.5 hours hoping to see the soccer game. No Soccer, let's see KD's men. Granted it was not the most exciting game, but seeing our golden kids (the basketball team) was well worth the trip. If nothing but seeing Steve Swiech in action and that dunk, still worth it.I feel that KD rode steve real hard and Steve responded well, you could tell he had a chip on his shoulder. He was not running on the court, he was sprinting in transition defense, he was rebounding like a man amongst kids and defending very fiercely. This team (Urbana) was not a serious competition, but you wait and see, starting Jan 10, our first MAC game, no one will even remember that those guys are freshmen and sophomores. Mark my words.

I agree that JD will be here next year and he should if you ask me. The main reason being the money, second reason being that most of the people on this team are returning and they were all recruited by JD so let's start at the info with some stability and an experienced team. If nothing else, i expect the MAC media to give us a decent position in their pre-season ranking. Third reason, we don't have an alternative coach waiting to get the job. I wish we had a "KD" football coach, you know some decent akron graduate who wants to be in Akron and create a dynasty, but there isn't. Now having said that, it just makes me when i see people explaining how this season was not disappointing. Allright we will be great next season but that's not good enough for me now. This season is still very young and it is not a practice season. It is a real season and guess what? we will be good this season too. We are young this year, we didn't beat pittsburg and we may not beat VCU or Dayton. Also, we may not have a great RPI and we will definitely not get an at large NCAA bid at the end of this season. (We never did anyways). Here is the reality, this team has until March to practice and gel and mature. By March, they may (and should) be very competitive, and then everything is possible at the Q.Call me extremely optimistic, but i am not ready to fantasize about next season yet, my dreams for this year are alive until we loose at the Q, until then, my zips are going to get better, win the MAC tournament and play in the postseason. The best part of the game was the "i believe" chant going back and forth between the rowdies in the north and south sides. In previous years, the north end was always quiet and boring, it is good to see that this has changed.

The only reason Kennedy is running his mouth is to have a freshman class next year. Ihe doesn't say what he just said, no one is heading to Can't next year.I will not be surprised if Martin still gets fired later this year.
