Zip Watcher, i am an engineer too but i wish i could agree with you IMHO, Nate is our only player who is currently "there" and even Nate, is a role player and not someone who can create his own shot or be a "go-to" guy.McNeese seems to be on the right track to be "there" at the beginning of next year. Other than that, we have projects that may work or may not.Conyers can be the best defender in the NCAA, but that is only half of the game, and is simply not enough; especially from a player that KD calls "his best recruit ever" :blink: I still haven't seen enogh of Brett McKnight, but from what i've seen so far, he seems more like a 3 player than a 4 or a 5 which leave us without any reliable options at the post. Don't get me wrong, Sweich and Bardo appear to be great guys but they lack the experience and you cannot expect them to win you the MAC as soon as they get out there.However, being a solution finder (just like you zip watcher), here is what i suggest. Bardo, the 2 McKnights and Roberts should play every possible minute for the rest of this year. We are going to play a few (RPI killer) games. Let's get something good out of them and give PT experience to our underclassmen. I honestly see no advantage what so ever in having Quade score 22 points against BG when Mcknight and Bardo are riding the bench. Quade is in his 4th year for God's sake and he still fold like a paper in tough games. Look at his stats in the 2 games when we needed him: pt Ass Reb St To MinOhio: 0 0 0 0 0 16Can't: 0 0 0 0 2 10He did not give us a better chance to win those games, so we might as well give those 26 minutes to Bardo.

I like the game assessment. Everything in it is well thought.About the future, allow me to be the pessimistic one. Starting with the near future, everybody is saying that we will get can't on March 9. Maybe we will, but how about our trips to Athens and Oxford?We keep talking about our depth. That depth only shows against BG and NC A&T. When it counts, under pressure, we seem to only have one decent post player in J-wood and only one decent ball handler in Dials. Before we start thinking about being Manhattan and Can't and an elite midmajor, i am really worried about next year. Our two decent (under pressure) playersare graduating this year. KD does not recruit JC players to make an immediate difference. And we are not at the level where we can recruit immediate impact freshmen (Oden and Conley Jr.)If the Mcknights, Roberts, Bardo, and Conyers don't gain the necessary PT experience this year and step up, we are preparing for a 8-8 MAC record next season.I appologize for being so pessimistic, but this is how i see things when i try to look ahead for the future.

ZipsRifle just spoke my mind. I think that if this game is played like 10 times. Ohio will win 9 of them. I am sorry to say this but i feel that they were the best team. We needed Bubba to screw up and Linhart to have that WoW tip and the crowds to be at their best, and that only gave us a win by 1.We're not light years away from being a better team, we just need 3 things:1 - better free throw shooting.2 - help for J-wood (Quade and/or Mcknight)3 - Conyers hit a Darn open jump shot.

After yesterday's game, i am so glad Bubba transferred to Ohio. My only regret is that we didn't have another Bubba to transfer to Can't. He would have helped.

And this one was one of them IMHO.As much as i love the freshman backourt (McNeese and Roberts), what the hell is wrong with our other underclassmen. When is Conyers going to contribute on offense? can he hit a jumper? like ever. Bardo can still be excused for being a Freshman but how about C. McKnight? when is he going to contribute? he's almost halfway through his career. The FT problem is always going to hunt us down. J-wood and Ced 0/4, that's absolutely unacceptable from 2 seniors. Quade Milum, did he even play?I am glad this one is over and we have a win. Ohio is definitely a Mac East contender, a lot of work has to be done before the game @ Athens, Can't is rocking and rolling. KD and the boys have a lot of work.

I am almost positive that Jabari can land an UDFA contract in the NFL if he doesn't go in a late round pick. Not to burst your bubble but the chances of him playing in the CFL are IMHO very slim.He is not the type of receiver who will beat his coverage by 10 yards. But he is the type of wide receivers who will catch the ball above the head of his coverage. In other words, he doesn't necessarily beat the DB by speed but by size. I honestly think that he will make a great NFL tight end.

I LMAO everytime i remember this chant. I was a rowdy and when somebody started the chant, i couldn't participate in it because i was choking out of laughing so hard. It took me few seconds to calm down and chant with the rest of the rowdies.Great memories.

Actually i am one of the 52 people CK talked about. I live 3 hours away from Akron and there is no way i can drive to the rooland to attend a weekday game. I have TW cable and i wish all our weekday games are televised or webcasted.

I second that opinion. I will be very happy to pay a fee if i get to see the game, not the z-fence and brick signs though.The thing is we have a college of communication on campus. So many students would love to shoot/direct the game to put that on their resume.

Ohio lost a game they shouldn't have lost (@BG). I can see why you count them out.However, Miami lost 2 games @Akron and @Ohio which are both games i would expect them to loose anyways.Every team in the conference is expected to loose @Akron, @Ohio, @Miami, and @Can't. Winning those games will be a huge boost up but loosing them is the norm.So what i am trying to say is that we have not won any huge game yet, and Miami hasn't lost any bad games either. It is just the way the schedule is.

Who cares... let it be Progressive stadium and let them make some $$.The indians game a really a good bargain. You can watch quality baseball and enjoy yourself for an affordable amount of money.
