Nbs, are you steve's father?
-
Thanks mighty zip. Great job!It is sad and the scary thing is that this is becoming a trend. It seems that anyone who is unhappy about their grade in a class or mad at their professor, or maybe their classmates or even girl friend can just start killing innocent people.Isn't it time to consider banning the public possession of fire arms?

Can any of the graphic design gurus create something to show how the mac is united and supports NIU? Last year the ACC did this for VT, and i think that we can at least show our support through fb profile pictures and stuff like that.

I don't understand why is Cedrick playing. I keep hearing that he is hurt and his play is killing the momentum so why does he still play?I know that he has a high caracter and he's a wonderful guy, but this is not a Mr. Akron pageant, only those who can play should be on the field.

Linhart had a dunk in his freshman year at the Q in the tournament. I think it was against WMU
-
I didn't understand what KD meant by that but it doesn't sound good. What does it mean when a player hits a wall? did KD give up on him or what exactly is that supposed to mean?
-
You guys misunderstood what i am saying. Read the beginning of my post, i said that this is still our year and we can still go dancing. I am not suggesting that we throw this year. when i say: Until then, let's develop our underclassmen, then refers to the MAC tournament, not next year. And captain, developing underclassmen and having underclassmen step up are IMO two ways to say the same thing. After all, the teams ranked 1 to 4 at the Q will all have similar chances to win the tournament. I will not stress over loosing at Ohio in the regular season if the Mcknights and Darryl Roberts get the experience to go back and knock Ohio in the tournament (with J-wood back.
-
I agree. This is still our year and we can still go dancing. In fact, i belive that the J-wood thing may be a blessing in disguise. After loosing to Can't and CMU, we all knew that we will not get an at large (some of us gave up on that after the loss to winthrop), so if we're not getting an at large, the only games that matter are the ones at the Q.From now until then, let's develop our underclassmen for next years.

Thanks District, we wish you exactly the same thing. I hope you win every single game on your schedule except Akron.

Am i the only one who did not see any dissing in district's post?

Man are we sucking, we don't have any inside presence on either sides of the ball.I don't have any stats but I guess we are outrebounded 13,000-6 or something like that.

I emailed tech support in complaint. But i didn't cancel.Do you have an email address to send to or did you just submit the online form?
-
Just paid $10 to see the damn game but the video link is not working.

At your service: You will have to register for the one month plan as it appears that there are no options to purchase individual games. WMU siteThank you hip zip.

Do you have a link for the online pay site?

I think that we are all getting too emotional and sensitive here. Every single team in the bracket buster will be hoping to play a team with a higher RPI, this is mathematically impossible. We were happy when we got Nevada, we were disappointed with AP. As far as RPI goes, and for a team who is building an rpi-based resume for an at-large bid, i can see why would the VCU fans be disappointed. I don't feel insulted or disappointed by that. My problem is that the VCU fans feel that they will come here, beat us and it will still not make any difference. Well that's wrong. Every team that beat us at home in the last 3 years was in the tournament, so for all of you VCU fans, beating us at home will go a long way on your resume... the committee may not respect us as a team but they do respect teams that beat us at home. In that sense, you should be happy that you control your destiny. Unlike us last year, we got AP, we beat them , but still didn't make a difference.

It is down for me too.

IMHO, Nate is the biggest contributor on the floor. Hustle, running, rebounding etc... no one even comes close. In that sense, he has a great case as the MVP.As far as difference making, J-wood is the toughest matchup for other teams to guard and our biggest offensive threat, that is another great case for an MVP.However, you have one guy who is willing to change his position to help his team, he is directing the younger players on the floor, and being the emotional leader. You add to that great defense, shooting and passing skills, ball handling at crunch time and a 90 something FT percentage (even under pressure) and Nick Dials is our MVP.

The word is neither Mcneese nor Roberts will be our PG next year. Therefore KD has no intent to make a point that McNeese is the guy. I think that Ronnie steward and one of the true freshmen next year (Humpty or Sullivan) will play PG while McNeese and Roberts will play the 2 Guard.
-
There goes any chance of the MAC getting an at large bid.I was thinking that if Can't keeps rolling and then loose the MAC championship game, they should get an at large.Today's game has changed a lot of things around.

I am sorry i couldn't make it yesterday, it is kinda hard to drive 5 hours roundtrip on a working day.I'll hopefully be there on Saturday. I can help with whatever you need.

That's an interesting question. I remember when Andy Hipsher played there was some hub bub about him being on scholarship because if he weren't, he couldn't get travel per diem and his hotel paid? Do I recall this correctly? Are you saying that the walk-ons on the team pay for their own hotels during team trips?

They may not have the facilities but they have the Hawaii factor.I would accept to work for half my current salary in Hawaii, i think that student athletes may think the same way.

#10 in the midmajor is actually better than what i expected. As BB said, it doesn't matter anymore. It is only about getting a bye at the Q and winning those 3 games.

Say what you want about the athletism of Steward, Humty and the others, next year is a rebuilding/reloading year. That does not mean that we are going to end up with a losing record, but i don't see us being as good as this year and last. For the last 2 years, our rotation consisted of (Romeo, Dru, Dials, Cedrick, Wood, Linhart). All but Nate will be gone next year.Let's look at our recruiting over the last 5 years:2003: Rome. Dru, J-wood (Maybe the best recruiting class in Akron history)2004: Dials transfer, Bubba, Cedrick, Quade. Bubba was an all Mac freshman, Cedrick has also contributed in all 4 years.2005: Linhart, Rybak, Conyers. Ouch!!! In the third year, Linhart is the only who can be called a good contributer.2006: Chris Mcknight, in the second year, no good contributors from this class.I know people will jump and tell me how Conyers is a great deffender and McKnight has a great potential etc...I'm sorry, i want to see a player who can play and win games. Dru was handling the ball in his freshman year, Romeo was our best rebounder + offensive contributor in his sophmore year. Dials was a go to guy as a so. Same with j-wood. Linhart was winning games for us since day 1. Cedrick was always creating his own shot.I seriously hope to be wrong, but i am affraid that we will pay (next year), the price for 2 lousy recruiting years in (2005 and 2006).
