NIU's ball handling skills remind me of the lady zips'. That might be a good matchup.

I agree with all of you that losing to Arkansas LR at a neutral court will look bad, but i don't think that losing to UIC in chicago is that bad. Didn't they beat Butler in chicago?

I have 3 questions:1 - This 48 points guy, can we have more statistics about him ? height, weight, position, and average points and rebounds per game rather than one game's stats.2 - Up to my knowledge, we are only loosing Dru and Romeo to graduation this year. How come we are giving 3 scholarships (Sweich, McKnight, and Steward).3 - With already 3 players on our team who play SF (Linhart, Conyers, and Rybak), and none of them graduating before 2 years, why did we offer another SF (Brett McKnight) ?

I am not 100% sure why wintherspoon was teed either but my assumption is that it was something he said.He was at the side line and the ref was passing by him, and his lips were moving, the ref turns around and give him the tee. He immediately put the crybaby face on and points to one of his players as in: "i wasn't talking to you ref, i was talking to my player."That guy is something, i still remember him from last year, he cries about every single call. It seems to me that he spends more time crying about the refs than helping his team on the court.

That is great ! we now have to prove ourselves on the road. We all know that it is hard to win MAC games on the road, but i think that the MAC W teams (toledo aside) should not be very tough to beat. KD and the boys have the chance to achieve an unprecedented ranking this year.

I respectfully disagree with you here. I think that the zips played their worse game ever against Buffalo. Thank god it happened at home and against a not very good team. Poor 3pt shooting, poor free throw shooting, poor rebounding and a lot of turnovers. I think Rasor said it best on his blog: "Zips were the best of 2 bad teams." Unfortunately, J-wood is not bringing his A game yet. I am still waiting to see the pre-injury J-wood. For the time being, and with Q milum emerging, and Romeo being a solid player, J-wood will not see too much playing time.

That's right ! if it wasn't for the NFL playoffs, i have no problem with sunday 2pm.

I think the time of the game will hurt the attendance... However, i still think we will beat the 3000 mark. We should beat Buffalo by double digits at home.

And yeah, about saying that the rowdies suck anyways... you remind me of kids who are like: you either play by my rules or i don't wanna play with you because you suck.we used to do that in elementary school.I remember Mack Rhoades praising us, coach Kest, coach Dambrot, most of the men's basketball players, and almost everybody on this board... they all said that the rowdies did a great job and that they are creating a new tradidtion... so when you and your friend say that we suck... that really doesn't take much away from us.

If you were a leader of the Rowdies, and you had members who registered months ago, paid fees, attended meetings to practice cheering, and were standing in line 2 hours before the game... would you ask them to leave their seats to give it to your friend ? and what would you tell them ? I think that this topic is getting way more attention that it deserves. The anti-rowdies group exist only on facebook and in the immagination of the people who created it... as most of you know, those people show up only for one game a year. Unfortunately, some of the rowdies, who actually registered and paid their fees didn't get to sit there, because the lower sections can only seat 150 students. If we had 500 rowdies for every game, we would have a legitimate petition to ask for more space, but for 95% of the games, we can't even fill our seats...so don't expect the rowdies to kick the loyal ones to give you their seats.

i'll probably make the trip... but it is still too early to plan for it now.

Those are some very good ideas... I am sure some of the rowdies leaders might be reading here. If not, i will try to bring those points up next time i meet one of the leaders.

Last year, we won all our home games... also we won all the MAC west matchups. However, the only MAC east team that we beat away was BG. We ended second in the MAC regular season with a 12-4 record with losses @ miami, @ Can't, @ ohio and @ Buffalo.I am not here to burst anybody's bubble or anything, i am just trying to keep things in perspective... Beating Can't at home is sweet, but we should not over rate that win because first of all and second, it was a home win.In order to surpass last year's record we need to win all the games we won last year and more. Keep in mind that we already lost @ ohio, it is tough to play @ miami... and we are playing @ toledo this year.Here are my expectations: we lose @ miami and @ toledo, we win ohio, @ buffalo, @ Can't, and all the other games... we finish 13-3. Will that be enough for us to be ?
