    FYI, there's still over 18:00 remaining in the AAC Championship game between N. Texas and UAB. Blazers lead 34-23. Don't look for a game start before close to 8:00 Eastern time.

I think she was there the time I witnessed the event in 2003, and every time I see her I know it's time for an @Akron Zips Men's Basketball title run! She's a true CLE tradition!!     I was with the Akron Zips at the 1974 (IIRC) NCAA College Division (D2) national final 8 in Evansville and saw Tre Eaglestaff's uncle play for the Fightin' Sioux of NDU. He was an imposing power forward who went on to become an educator who has a Native American high school named for him in Seattle.

    I knew I had seen a reference to the U. of Chicago soccer having a woman head coach of their men's team, and indeed, Juli Stitch coached the Maroons to the D-3 College Cup in 2023.     I just saw a Zips social media post showing Sammy Hunter and Xavier Castañeda as part of regional international FIBA qualifying tournaments and while Sammy playing for Bahamas was no surprise, it WAS unexpected to find Xavier in qualifying with the national team of Bosnia and Hertzegovina! Not Puerto Rico. How did THAT happen?
