    I knew I had seen a reference to the U. of Chicago soccer having a woman head coach of their men's team, and indeed, Juli Stitch coached the Maroons to the D-3 College Cup in 2023.     I just saw a Zips social media post showing Sammy Hunter and Xavier Castañeda as part of regional international FIBA qualifying tournaments and while Sammy playing for Bahamas was no surprise, it WAS unexpected to find Xavier in qualifying with the national team of Bosnia and Hertzegovina! Not Puerto Rico. How did THAT happen?

    Well, Zips wore out in the 2nd half as was predictable. Lost 75-54. Just wondering, the MAC has 2 teams with really strong records Ball State 20-5 and Buffalo 20-4. What are the odds of 2 MAC teams slipping into the NCAA tournament?

    If the Zips manage to win a game in the NCAA tournament this year, I predict Bowen Hardman will play a big role with getting open outside the circle and knocking out the opponent. BTW, one of my favorite plays in bb is the drop-back pass, such as the one Seth Wilson took for the open 3-ball. It's practically impossible to block or defend.

    MAC has changed the schedule, moving the home game vs PCCC to a Friday -- despite it still being broadcast only on ESPN+. What's up with that?

    Nice run by Akron to take it from 6 point to 14 pt lead. Pretty much in the pocket. Tavari's made 6 of 11 treys, while Nate is not shooting much, but NINE assists. Hope the ankle is better.

    I missed the entire game (why are they playing weekday games in mid-afternoon???) 😆 BUT from stats only: BSU may have been the first team (at least in MAC play) that could go nearly as deep on the bench as the Zips. Their bench made 8 of 8 FG attempts. My freshman flunker math tells me that's virtually one-hundred percent!
