  1. And #11 makes it 3! That's Zajac. Can I buy a vowel?
  2. Gee, nothing here! Everyone must be at CubCadet. Josh Adachi has played well in net for SU, but Sammy and Stewie made themselves known...again!
  3. If there was anybody who would need intestinal fortitude it would be Dad Crawford if he ever came on here to read about his record in his only career collegiate head coaching job. I can tell you from experience, the two gentlemen linked here expressed that Coleman was the finest assistant coach they had ever worked with. http://www.goheels.com/coaches.aspx?rc=1947&path=mbball http://wvusports.com/coaches.aspx?rc=48&path=mbball And from a guy who only watched two of his games as Akron HC (in 1990 at the University of Hawaii's Klum Gymnasium), and a handful as assistant at Fla St and SMU I would vouch that Coleman is as personable and approachable as anyone I've ever met in the coaching or athletics profession. The last I heard he was working individually with players in the Dallas area, after a stint as a junior college coach in the Big D. Hope I get to see him again. Truly a winner!
  4. Would you believe...! (Get Smart!) I came on here, thinking I had misspelled the medical specialty of Dr Adachi, who works on my sinusitis and chronic bronchitis. Lo and behold, I actually got it the first time! Here's to me! This is a specialty that is I suspect is much more in demand in the rust belt. When I was a kid, I think 75% of the kids at East Liberty El suffered like I did! http://www.entnet.org/content/what-otolaryngologist
  5. San Francisco and Colgate have to be the biggest surprises in Rd #1. Seattle was actually ranked above Washington #22 vs #26? http://www.ncaa.com/scoreboard/soccer-men/d1
  6. The AK Rowdies better be in good form on Sunday. They will be heckling one of the best goal keepers Hawai'i has ever produced! @Josh_Adachi YOU SUCK!!!! http://www.goseattleu.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=211119789 His mom is my Otolaryngologist.
  7. Anybody watching Seattle @ Washington -- our Sunday opponent? UW just went up 1-0, but the Seattle goalie, Josh Adachi from my backyard at Iolani School in Honolulu made a couple of point-blank stuffs on the Dogs! On PAC-12 WA
  8. Is there a Asst. SID for the men's basketball this year?? I can't find anything -- it used to be a guy named Brian Dennison (according to the directory), but e.g., he hasn't tweeted in over a year and a half. I remember Dallas Moyer was SID when they last played in Hawaii. Good guy! Has the ball been dropped?
  9. Hilliard-Arce PAC-12 DPOY. Foster Langsdorf PAC-12 OPOY (12 goals, 6 assts). MAC-Hermann Trophy Watch. Those two will be heard from a lot more. Team still has real quality on the field and on the sideline, where Jeremy Gunn really knows what he's doing.
  10. Okay, did I get in under the deadline? Rd 1 Columbia (With or without Desmond Armstrong!!) Butler Pacific Coastal Carolina Washington /UDub Wisconsin/UDub UMass Californicators UNCW Southern Methodist Fordham Florida Int'l Air Force Maryland New Hampshire N.C. State Rd2 Wake Forest Va Commonwealth Stanford Clemson Akron Wisconsin Michigan Louisville North Carolina Southern Methodist Virginia Duke Michigan St. Maryland Dartmouth Indiana Rd 3 Wake Forest Stanford Akron Louisville North Carolina Virginia Michigan St. Indiana Quarterfinals/College Cup Participants Stanford Akron North Carolina Indiana Semifinals Stanford Indiana Threepeat National Champions Stanford Cardinal It's kinda confusing, since the first and second rounds both have 16...
  11. I also remember us beating SIU-E before they won the national title in 1979. I think the archives have been changed, just to make me look bad! Why is everybody out to get me?! Where was Desmond Armstrong that weekend??
  12. And Kerr was the Golden Boot winner. Shame. Game played at the Tacoma Dome in Washington. In the semi's Akron upset perhaps the favorite of the Final Four, Columbia and their star forward Desmond Armstrong, who you might remember from his TV broadcasting career with ESPN, etc. Here's the write-up on Duke's website about the final. http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=285808 And re: Zip-ME87 above: I have Air Force beating VaTech. They have a strong record against mediocre competition. They're undefeated In their last 16 games.
  13. For background...Apparently Kwad didn't play football at all at Mizzou before transferring, is that correct? Stories I found said that he was expected to play FB there, so I wonder if the coaches considered him too small, or why he didn't play.
  14. Well folks, the last time an Akron QB really "effed-up" a while later he showed up at the coroner's office. Can we get this guy the help he needs?! Please?! Let's take this seriously!
  15. Watching! First half...We look slow and unathletic; no motion offensively away from the ball; taking bad shots out of rhythm. NO way we could beat anyone but Arkansas Cream Puff playing like that!
  16. Looking at his video, Jackson has that court vision that will really blend well with the other new pieces in 2018. I note that when the team lands in Hawai'i, he and Mal Duvivier will be the only ones who have played on the island before! ?
  17. If you have a link for the stream replay, please share it! Would like to see all the newbies.
  18. I don't think we can jump IU, can we? They are the team we will probably have to beat on the way to Star #2.
  19. If you didn't know it, Mr Mibut lives in Uniontown or Hartville area. Lake Twp. I've wondered if he ever comes on Zipsnation! ?
  20. Wake Forest won 1-0 in OT. Akron should finish ahead of Virginia in RPI, I believe.
  21. Televised on ESPN News?? Guessing... ?
  22. That'll do it folks!!! Akron has won the toughest MAC championship in their stay in the league. When is the NCAA bracket announcement?
  23. Their season ain't exactly over! ?
  24. Who won the ACC? Hoos or Wake?
  25. Over the last four minutes, Western has had three shots, two CKs, then Moutinho takes a yellow card. Hang in there, Zips. And as soon as I write that Cordeiro -- the OTHER Portagee scores the THIRD ... GOALLLLLLL!
