  1. We should start planning for the home opener, there won't be another home game for a few weeks after. I'm thinking about buying a tennis net for soccer tennis. I have soccer nets I could bring as well but that might cause trouble. For food, I'll bring homemade black bean burgers and grass fed beef from Green Vista Farm. I'll probably bring a Thirsty Dog sampler for the first event unless I can get my hands on some Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. We should have over 60 people for the first game, can't wait!!

  3. It would be unthinkable for the MAC to send less than 2 teams to the NCAA Tournament this year.
  4. Perkins traded to Montreal for Ricketts, which could be a bad thing for Evan Bush. Ricketts is 37 and close to retirement, Perkins is only 31 and a lot better of a goalie than Ricketts. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012...xchange-perkins
  5. Anthony Ampaipitakwong scored his first professional goal http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=251956541590962
  6. Gavin still coming to grips with "shock" trade to Revs http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012...hock-trade-revs
  7. Maybe this will allow people to buy sideline seats without buying season tickets. Was told that the sidelines are almost sold out again.
  8. Did anyone ever see Akron in any of these? I can't find it http://www.youtube.com/WeLiveSoccer
  9. Mattocks scored his 7th goal of the season on Friday His goal and multiple chances can be seen in this video
  10. Both the MLS and MLB are experiencing attendance increases this year. The MLS is on track to have its best season ever. I wrote a blog about it http://davianletter.com/blog/2012/7/27/att...r-summer-sports
  11. Speas scored a goal today in Columbus's exhibition against Stoke City. Columbus won 2-1 against the EPL team
  12. I have videos with the stadium in it on my YouTube page. I'll try to get pictures when I go up to buy season tickets. The title is old, dont mean to offend. It's one of the better videos showing the main grandstand.
  13. Nice to see Trapp has been the teams captain for this tournament
  14. More information about the survey MLS takes in the big picture
  15. What type of pictures are you looking for? Google maps has an updated aerial view.
  16. They must have changed the data after descending the table. I believe the biggest indicator of soccer's growth can be seen in the 2nd league. San Antonio has been a great addition to the NASL. We need to get a team in Akron
  17. Midseason MLS television ratings, attendance at all-time highs The MLS currently ranks 7th in average attendance for soccer leagues.
  18. It's rare that a commentator doesn't mention Akron when a former Zip is on the field.
  19. I was at the Crew game yesterday and was impressed with Korb's efforts. He came very close to tying the game but his shot hit the upper cross bar.
  20. iPad double post fail. Maybe Speas can transfer again?

  22. The 400k is base salary. I would think he gets an annual bonus from promoting the university as well. Caleb Porter for example, has a base salary of $270k and an annual bonus of $80k for promoting UA.
  23. Not sure if any of the 2013 recruits have been posted anywhere yet, but the #11 player in the country is committed to Akron. It's very likely that Akron will be National Champions in 2012 and lose a few players to the MLS. We're going to need a strong 2013 recruiting class. Adam Najem Graduation Year: 2013 Position:Midfielder Club Name: New York Red Bulls Region:New Jersey City:Clifton State:New Jersey Stars: 5 Top 150 Ranking: #11 2013 Boys Regional Ranking: #1 2013 New Jersey Positional Ranking: #1 2013 Midfielder: #8
