  1. I don't think we had enough support for it though. Plus, the bars on Exchange Street suck and it would be ironic if we had a home bar that wasn't on Exchange. I think Rubber City Elite could be an option.
  2. Before we start to make shirts and get this group seriously rolling, we need to make sure the name is what we want. Personally, I don't care for the Renegade term because the first definition: 1: a deserter from one faith, cause, or allegiance to another 2: an individual who rejects lawful or conventional behavior Synonyms: apostate, defector, deserter, recreant Antonyms: loyalist Basically, Renegade means traitor. Also, the Rubber City Rollergirls use it as one of their team's names. The name Rubber City Renegades ended up being the winner of this poll: http://akronsportsnow.com/the-last-final-v...pporters-group/ and it's been discussed on Zipsnation before: http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?showtopic=21400 Now we're discusing it on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/groups/194378190573670/ A List of Soccer Support Groups: Seattle - Emerald City Supporters Portland - Timbers Army LA G - Riot Squad Angel City Brigade KC - The Cauldron Chicago - Section 8 LA - C Union Ultras Legion 1908 Black Army 1850 NY - Viking Army Supporters Garden State Supporters Empire Supporters Club Columbus - Hudson Street Hooligans La Turbina Armarilla Crew Supporters Union Montreal Vancouver - Southsiders Toronto - Red Patch Boys U-Sector The North End Elite Houston - Texian Army La Bateria Dallas - The Inferno 380 Eagles Dallas Football Elite San Jose - 1906 Ultras Cashbah DC - Screaming Eagles La Barra Brava La Norte Philly - Sons of Ben Salt Lake - La Union Real La Barra Real Section 26 Colorado - Bulldog Supporters Group Pid Army Class VI New England - Midnight Riders The Rebellion Detroit - Motor City Supporters I plan on helping this group get as organized as possible for 2012.

  4. btw, I wonder where Cameron Knowles will land.
  5. The Atlanta Beat play there and average 4,840 per game.
  6. Update on Teal Bunbury stats:
  7. Duke is dominating this, here's stream if you have access to ESPN3 http://espn.go.com/watchespn/player/_/sour...spn3/id/287695/
  8. I'm amazed they're not working more with the University. I'd rather watch them at FE/CC than go to St. V's. Plus, no one knows they exist. Work with UA and you instantly got 3k+ soccer fans that know about the team. Could easily average 500 or more playing at FE/CC.
  9. soooooooooo jealous!!!!
  10. Imagine this: Cost was only $16.5 million. Seats 8,300 How much did we spend renovating Lee Jackson??
  11. So, you do not prefer the subject of word choice in composition? My degree says accounting. no idea what you mean. Input it into excel to help me understand
  12. I'm surprised no one has gone after Jared Embick. Does he make enough at Akron to stay if a team like Michigan came knocking?
  13. it's Michigan soccer, we have nothing to worry about. If it was an MLS team, then we'd have to worry.
  14. their source: Losing Meram, both Saads, and his top incoming recruit was too much to deal with and the team collapsed from a College Cup appearance to a 5-14-1 record. Speculation as to his successor naturally focuses on Caleb Porter, the piped piper of Akron and the Olympic team's coach. It was Porter's team that made Michigan look like the USNT against Brazil in that College Cup game. Many in a thread with a lot of people close to the situation say he won't leave, but there's got to be a chance. Michigan should punch him in the face with the highest salary in the country; this is a high leverage opportunity to make one of your programs a national power for a relative drop in the bucket. http://mgoblog.com/content/unverified-vora...-new-hockeybear
  15. rumor hit Topdrawsoccer http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/the91stminu...in-at-michigan/
  16. yes, plus you have Ubiparipovic and Nanchoff on the bench.
  17. MAC soccer improved a lot this year. 2 teams in the big dance and several victories against the Big Ten.
  18. The University of Akron averaged 3,543 per game this year for the regular season. The Akron Summit Assault was only able to get 5% of what an UAkron game brings in. A PDL team in this city should easily get at least 300 to 400 per game.
  19. Montreal's new stadium will hold 20,341 which should sell out for the entire season.
  20. Portland already moved into their stadium. I think you mean Houston. Montreal should add a good boost.
  21. there are a few Zips players making good $$ in the MLS
  22. The NCAA is going after the wrong programs.
  23. posted this in another thread, but it's relevant to this one: also, MLS overtakes NBA for 3rd place behind the NFL & MLB.
  24. looking at this, I wonder if 2,000 minutes is the benchmark for generation adidas
  25. 8-1-3, 67% Two crowds over 5k this year, plus we started a new tailgating tradition. 2011 was great. Here's to another great year in 2012
