  1. I think they copy and pasted for us. Here was our convo... FloSports: Hello (name). Thanks for contacting FloSports Customer Support with your inquiry regarding pricing. I understand the pricing is different. We offer different things than ESPN+. I'm sorry about that. The subscription costs are the same across the board no matter what sport you choose because you still have access to all of the other sports. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Me: Hi (name), With all due respect, you don't offer different things than ESPN+. I subscribed to ESPN+ to watch Akron sports. I got all of Akron's sports, plus pro sports plus other collegiate sports for $10 a month. I'd be subscribing to FloSports to watch Akron soccer - there's no difference except 3x the price. The Akron fan base in general isn't going to pay $30 a month for FloSports. You're losing out on an entire fan base by overcharging for your services. FloSports: Hey (name), Thanks for your feedback, we hope to offer a cheaper option in the near future. --------------------------------------------- There are absolute morons in high level positions that put people like this person in tough spots having to spew scripted rhetoric that makes them and the company look incompetent. I can't imagine having a second-rate streaming service that is literally broken down into category of sport (FloHoops, FloFootball, etc.) and not offering a more à la carte system, let alone charging $30 a month when the average mainstream service is $7-15.
  2. Some of their fans are still coping with their fall from the Big East. It'll be interesting to see their reaction when conference realignment sees schools from the conferences they think they're astronomically above get absorbed into the AAC. Might have to check on them in a few years to see if they're ok.
  3. Here is FloSports' contact us page. I let them know about Akron's addition to the Big East, and the unfortunate tie to FloSports that comes with that. I added that their services are 3x the price of ESPN+ and an unjustifiable expense addition to the budget. Hopefully more people do so and something changes.
  4. No idea but would've loved it this year, if for no other reason than to break up the Buffalo-KSUcks-Toledo-Ohio gauntlet in February. Goodness that's a stretch from Hell.
  5. Oregon State & Washington State meeting with the Mountain West. Stanford, Cal, and SMU expected to get accepted into the ACC today. Wild.
  6. It'll also be interesting to see how Akron's number changes as JoeMo gets the football program going. I'd imagine we find ourselves towards the top of the MAC (70s/80s nationally) in a year or two as hopefully more donors chip in and Kaulig's influence grows.
  7. Akron is 98th. The preschool to the east is 107th (2nd to last on the list, just ahead of EMU).
  8. Zips don't play until Sept. 2nd.
  9. Depends on where the ticket revenue and concessions/beer/team shop revenue cross. You also risk people being jaded by spending $60 on a loss to Bethune Cookman.
  10. Are we counting down to college football?
  11. Genius. Unless they lose to Bethune Cookman, then it's a disaster. Also, looks like SMU might be heading to the ACC with Cal and Stanford?
  12. A bit... As in they'll be ready for the beginning of the season? I am very intrigued by both players, as their respective sizes and skill sets would really provide some nice versatility and depth. I'm also assuming Mus is in line for a redshirt, so my above statement applies a bit more to Prather.
  13. How was our shooting today? How did the newcomers look?
  14. This made me chuckle. Graduate student Edward Saydee, who led the Owls with 639 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 149 attempts last season, has “skyrocketed” on the field, Foreman said. This is like the aliens conversation. I used to believe that aliens exist and could be among us. Then the government told me they are real. Temple fans probably heard Saydee looked good. Then this Foreman fellow used the word "skyrocketed", oversold his performance, and now Temple fans are questioning how will he's actually doing it if their run defense sucks.
  15. This is hilarious.
  16. The ball was barely missing any air by the end of the game. That's a good sign.
  17. Do we know what the schedule is for down there? Will they all be streamed?
  18. NICE fastbreak dunk by Baker. He is going to be good.
  19. There's 12 minutes left in the second half. Refresh your feed.
  20. 37-30 at the half. Some sloppy, cardinal sin turnovers (trying to go over the top of defenders with passes, etc.). A decent amount of missed jump shots. Good defensive effort and we are certainly athletic. All in all, this is fun to watch. The Puerto Rican team (Guaynabo All Stars) is pretty solid. They can shoot, have decent size, and are also athletic. Good test as the chemistry is built before classes even start.
  21. Another 3 attempt from Freeman - in and out. Just a little bit off distance wise - looked to be dead on directionally.
  22. Nice take by Nate Johnson with Freeman as the decoy. Would love to see those types of decisions in the season from him. He has the frame to absorb any contact around the rim.
  23. The gym is sweet. Could you imagine the JAR with that layout, packed?
