  1. What are the transfer rules for a player transferring from FBS to a lower division?
  2. Our players are talking entirely too much. Does JoeMo not tell them they suck?
  3. Jankowski, Jennings, Wasel - in that order. Let's see em. That ball was tipped, which led to the INT. However, it was going to be incomplete at the very least; triple coverage and the safety was bearing down being the receiver.
  4. Lol. Of course they hit a 58 yarder.
  5. The offense hasn't moved - especially not consistently - under 3 different QBs; that's on the coaches more than anything. The QBs themselves are not great, but the majority of the blame needs to be put on the coaches.
  6. To not have a QB in year 2 is an utter failure by JoeMo.
  7. Joe apparently didn't use his FCS connections to figure out how New Hampshire put up 42 on this CMU squad.
  8. Not only that, it was a play design that got the QB out of the pocket. Genius. Only a rocket scientist could've designed something so intelligent.
  9. Jankowski time. That's the dumbest thing I think I've ever seen a QB do.
  10. TURNOVER TIRE X2!
  11. The decision to pull him for the dude that missed the kick against Indiana (I forget his name; I'm going to attribute that to wanting to forget that miss) was asinine.
  12. THERE WE GO Z FENSE! TURNOVER TIRE!
  13. Silver lining during this garbage start to the season: we have some impressive defensive players.
  14. Outstanding pocket presence by Bullock. Pretty sure his internet disconnected for a second. His feet quit moving.
  15. I have 2 bets left in play after WVU and Colorado gacked miserably. Both include Akron over 1.5 Touchdowns. Do they have it in them? If so, I think they win. If not, well... I don't even want to think about that considering New Hampshire put up 42 on this CMU squad.
  16. I misread your post as "a reflection of the expectations", and missed the "not a reflection", meaning you think it's light compared to where the program itself wants to be. My apologies. Your points are valid. I hope we go out and dominate the games we do have. It's a solid schedule. Will be even better when we find out who the second Sun Belt squad is.
  17. Allegedly they had a P5 on the schedule and something happened with the tournament, so they had to pivot. It takes 2 to tango, and I'm not real sure too many P5s were looking for a last second add to their schedule to risk a potential upset. My point is I don't think it's right to use the schedule as the barometer for the program's expectations. My biggest gripe are the two non D1 matchups, but ce la vie. The rest will be fun.
  18. I don't think the schedule is a negative reflection of the program's expectations at all. In fact, the schedule says - at least to me - that Groce & co. expect Akron to be a top end mid major. It's a very competitive schedule, even with the fallout from the Mexico tourney we were supposed to be in. PCCC played a difficult schedule last year. That prepared them so well, they were blown out by Indiana in the first round of the tourney. The difference between Akron & PCCC last year was roster experience/talent, not schedule difficulty difference. The MAC is a one-bid league unless one of the teams has 2-3 losses max and loses late in the MAC tourney. Schedule hardly matters.
  19. I might have to block you. Too much negative news from you recently. 😂
  20. I posted a couple threads ago asking if Shokalook is the greatest goal scorer in Akron history. I was told emphatically "no". I am rephrasing my question/statement. Shokalook is the greatest goal scorer in my lifetime.
  21. It's a blast watching the media have to eat crow after portraying Deion as a loud-mouth, flashy punky for so many years. The dude may be the hardest worker in sports, and his standards are standards that every human being should live by. Be you. Treat others with respect and kindness. Establish discipline and work ethic. Be a positive member in society. I believe he is at work around 4-5am, vacuums his own office, etc. He cares about his players as if they were his own sons. He brought the female staff into a meeting to make sure the team knew that any mistreatment of those ladies would not be tolerated. People who hate him don't like molds being broken. That's exactly what Deion is doing - breaking the mold. Who knew you could be flashy and still be a decent human being. Colorado over 3.5 wins this year was an easy bet I took. I believe in Deion. Look out for Colorado as long as he's there (which I think will be a while).
  22. I was watching one of the collegiate eSports events earlier this year. They highlighted one of Akron's players and did a full montage of him for his last event. They talk about Akron in the collegiate eSports world like Bama in football or Duke in basketball. It's pretty wild. Also, it's just natural for the Soccer Kings to be good at virtual car soccer, too.
  23. This is JoeMo's program now. Period. He had the Arth shield last year, but not anymore. The incompetent football we're witnessing is solely on the coaches. The job of a coach is to put their player(s) in positions to succeed. These coaches aren't doing that. You have talent at WR, but they're getting the ball going towards the sideline. You have QBs that are struggling, but are being asked to make the toughest throws in football - deep sideline throws, either in the out-route capacity or up the field. They're also being asked to do this behind a porous offensive line, and very little run game help simply due to a lack of volume (coaching). If there are easier reads that are being missed, it is your job as a coach to reign the QB in, and simplify the game for him. You give them 2 reads. If the first read isn't there, they go to the second read. Keep the reads short and easy so the QB can get the ball in the hands of his playmakers. I'm not going to say much about the defense today. They've been the reason we've had any type of optimism this year. I call him Joe Arth now because the talent is clearly upgraded, but the schemes and execution are dog 💩. Honestly, maybe worse than Arth given the talent Moorehead has vs. Arth. This is unwatchable football on the offensive side of the ball, and we have a head coach that is supposed to be an offensive wizard. Don't do interviews and say, "I could've gone elsewhere - NFL, P5, etc. - but I chose Akron," like we're some sort of charity you're volunteering for, then not deliver a lick on Saturdays. It's awesome if you deliver; doesn't sit well if you don't. For the record, I'm not on the fire JoeMo bandwagon. Reality is he is our coach through the end of his contract. All I'm asking for is competent, competitive football on Saturdays. Please deliever, JoeMo.
  24. Not exactly looking forward to his recap of this Super Dog pick next week. "I said that Undercuffler was a DAWG. I should've said Akron would get dog-walked cause that's exactly what happened. Undercuffler didn't start the game and Moorehead was an embarrassment to Yinzers everywhere."
  25. Nah, wouldn't go that far. What that coach did to those kids and families is pretty heinous. JoeMo is at least a good person.
