The American Athletic Conference has our name on it someday. I will never buy that Guthrie does not want to go to a new conference. He has to publicly - and even privately with many people - state that he likes the MAC. No way does an AD of a school like Akron, with strong geographics and solid facilities, not want to put conference elevation on their resume.

Until it happens (or doesn't), I will always wonder if part of the Guthrie/JoeMo alliance is getting Akron into a new conference.

That's an enticing line. They had a large transfer class with 11 incoming, which would be my main hesitation, but their offense last year was anemic. Doubtful we get blown out.

When I heard that firing Patty F was picking up steam, I grabbed them on Bet365 for Under 3.5 Wins, which was +100. Last I checked, Northwestern O/U win total has been pulled from both Bet365 & FanDuel. The bet is still valid. Awful situation. They were a 1 win team that had an atrocious transfer portal class.
