WHO ALL IS GOING TOMORROW NIGHT?! PACK THE ROCK!
-
LET'S GO!!!!!!
-
HEY! I FOUL ON TOLEDO! WOW! SOMEONE TAKE A PICTURE! THAT'S MORE RARE THAN SUB $4 GAS!
-
Ali Ali might cost us this game single handily.
-
4 on Freeman. Yet he is being PULLED on rebounds.
-
I would have the Student GA cut up all of his fouls and send that tape to the league and NCAA. Atrocious officiating of one of the most fundamentally sound players I've ever seen.
-
Ali Ali is a gigantic pain in the ass. Sometimes he's a PITA for the other team, sometimes he's a PITA for us.
-
Of course we can watch when it goes a little south. Thanks UAB/MTSU. Aziz please. Force them back outside.
-
Akron related: really hope we keep doing what we did in the 1st half. High energy, smart basketball. And keep making shots.
-
3 OT. Of course.
-
When Toledo beat CMU, I thought, "Hmmmm... Could this be a blessing in disguise?" Akron will get up for this game. The target is on Toledo's back, not ours. Had CMU won, there's a chance we'd overlook them, not show up (like we haven't shown up against any directional Michigan school this year), and get upset by the Chips. LET'S GO ZIPS! Beat Detroit Southwest!
-
Clarke deserves credit on Buffalo's prior possession, too. They chucked up a crap shot and Garvin was the only Zips player with a chance at the rebound - he made sure he got it. Otherwise, it would've been an offensive rebound and we're probably talking about a different outcome.
-
Read this again and the bold part stood out. It did feel like the old days. Seemed to be a pretty solid Zips contingent in attendance despite a mid afternoon start. The only potential difference: have we ever played a team of Buffalo's caliber in the quarterfinals? Maybe Toledo in '09 (Humpty Hitchens/Brett McKnight game)? We just knocked out the undisputed top MAC team for the past decade.

Thank you for sharing this. Outstanding coaching by Groce & Co. to have a final play with TWO possible options with the same base concept. Props to Tribble for not only having confidence in himself, but also executing AND hitting the free throws (he was 4-4 down the stretch, right?). Dawson is this year's Most Improved - by a mile. What a year for the Dawson family. I watched the replay last night, and his shooting confidence is high along with his decision making. He looks to constantly drive and create plays, unlike previous years where he was simply a passing bridge to get the ball in someone else's hands. Freeman not being 1st Team All MAC is really the biggest screw job I can remember.
-
Is this the equivalent to Tuesday night MACtion in the fall?
-
Tied for the largest margin of victory.
-
Bad year for the MAC to go with a 5pm tip off for the first semis game.
-
Suggestion: O-Who and Ball State are both eliminated from this tourney, and KSUcks/Toledo/Akron play a 3 team round robin for the MAC Title. Neither of these teams deserve to move on.
-
His 15 games under .500 after 9 years would suggest he doesn't.
-
Bumbalough needs to hit the gym.
-
Balls should be up by 50.
-
No doubt, but I know we can beat any of the remaining teams now. Nobody scares me.
-
They conveniently have their worst games against crap competition. And if they have an off game against good competition, their opponents has twice as poor a performance.
-
Not to mention he embodies the true definition of STUDENT-athlete.
-
Cannot tell you how happy I was to peak at my phone today at work and see 32-32 at the half, and 70-68 Zips at the end. Buffalo is probably the worst matchup for us on paper in the MAC. They have a big that negates Freeman/Aziz, a killer guard, and a nasty stretch 4 that can shoot the lights out. Excited to watch the replay tonight. LET'S GO ZIPS!
