I'll say this. If you setup a tailgate, I'll be there. Let me know what beer/meat you want, and I'll bring some. I think tailgating for a Spring Game would go a long way to show the excitement and enthusiasm for the program under Moorhead.

I hear ya. I just see quick passes exposing our slower perimeter defense, forcing one of our bigs to guard more 1-on-1 away from the paint.

I don't think our perimeter defense is strong enough to execute a 3-2 zone. Aziz & Freeman would be put in positions to get into early foul trouble I fear.

Groce probably believes in him, but he has to play him. He has no other 3 pt options. Jesus Take the Wheel situation.

Regarding the bold part, was there any explanation given or details as to why he's confident the Transfer Portal will be favorable to Akron? Is it due to all of the P5 connections/backgrounds on the staff, his system, or all-but-guaranteed playing time?

Not to mention, given the experience on the coaching staff, it's hard to imagine our staff hasn't had previous contact with some if not all of the above at some point. It's not unfathomable to think we could land one of these guys if we wanted to. I definitely think we'll be adding a transfer QB soon enough, just a matter of who & when, not if.

Interesting. I didn't think we took many 3s at all. The second half was fueled by going down low.

If Wynn keeps up this effort and production, he can stay. He fits as that gritty, tough wing guy that can be physical - IF he keeps this up. Otherwise, he's gone with Trimble and Clarke stays.

Who transfers after this season? I have 2 thoughts - Trimble & Clarke. We'll be DEEP at guard from a body standpoint, and Trimble & Clarke has shown to be big time liabilities (although I like Clarke's flashes of potential).

Absolutely. We are a guard away from being the best team in the MAC. We have 2 more years of Freeman, 3(?) more years of Aziz, 3 more years of Kalle, etc. This program is in a much better position.

He fits their program better. He left Duquesne cause he's a head case. I can't wait for the day when he doesn't shoot 90% from the field. Akron gets in his head so easily, he'll have a meltdown. There was a moment last night where Groce told him to calm down after 1 or 2 things didn't go his way.
