Side note... Akron, OU, and Can't - each of whom have been the class of the MAC at some point in the last 2 decades - all play in the first round. When is the last time that happened?

The UMASS contract comes with a basketball agreement, correct? Is Temple football-only, or are going to play them in basketball, too?

This is a big reason why Texas doesn't make sense. I don't know how you can justify the financial aspect when the surrounding cities/states are so rich with talent.

To me it just doesn't make sense to recruit Texas when you could have a prep school pipeline and your surrounding area (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky) is loaded with talent. Groce pulled Nick Kellogg to OU from Columbus, and had LaVert coming, too. I don't know how many other Ohio boys he got, but I think he knows the type of talent that surrounds him and will target them while using Fulford's prep school connections in that area.

He has the name of someone who would give the MAC nightmares, and would become a fan favorite in the NCAA tournament.

While at OU, Groce had those guys playing their best ball come March, and it led to 3 NCAA tournament wins. Nothing would help keep this discussion alive and proven like shocking teams in the MAC tournament this year. Let's get that W tomorrow.

Well we used to refer to him as the clown. However, I think Bozo the Clown toed the PC line, so Clark graciously gave us Mr. Pinky. But yes, Mr. Pinky because of the mild sunburn look.

If anything we did was inappropriate, that's not cool. However, I have no problem with our guys getting into their heads and messing with them. If Senderoff doesn't want to teach his team composure and discipline, that's on him and I would fully exploit that.

Some observations... - I don't know if I've seen Akron get someone in foul trouble (2 or 3 guys in this case), and continue to drive at them late in a game. What a novel idea. - Free throw shooting wasn't our best tonight, but man did Parrish make 2 big ones. Not sure an Akron freshman has ever made 2 bigger free throws. - Thank you Smith and Duvivier for everything this year. - Thank you Can't for extending the contract on Mr. Pinky. He is a very mediocre coach, and that's at best. - KLac, man, he is a foul magnet. He brings a majority of it upon himself, but it's hard to watch. - If Cotton made faces (childish), shame on him. However, De La Rosa is a massive punk. I haven't disliked a Can't player like him since Singletary. They have some other punks on that team. It wasn't just DLR getting into it; there were several separate scuffles. DLR is just a junior, too. Imagine how much we'll get in his head next year when we actually have a front court. - Groce has done one helluva job with this team. Kudos to him. He really utilized his timeouts well, and put together a strong game plan. - Dustin Ford coaches A LOT. I love it. - The Can't State students chanting "polytechnic" clearly have no idea what it means. It's quite the compliment to notice that we teach subjects worth a damn in society. At the beginning of the season, how many would have taken splitting one of the series between OU and KSUcks, let alone splitting both with 2 key injuries?

No idea. I'm sure the MAC will be reviewing the "handshake" line.

Incredible win. Good for Groce and the boys. That was very fun. That game had everything a rivalry should, including a typical post game fight with the punks from Portage County. The fans were GREAT! Best crowd in a few years involvement wise. That was just fun.

Nope. Don't lie in the middle of the floor and cry. Dancing on Perini was one of the greatest Rowdy chants for years.

Patton is my #1 guess for someone who will transfer out. Side note... Did anyone know that Marquelle McIntyre was Peter Agba's sibling? I'm assuming his family took Peter in when he came over from Africa? I'm surprised McIntyre stayed when Peter transferred out.

Bingo. This roster is depleted. Next year will be a much better year to judge, and should be much more fun.

This is literally the season from Hell. We'll be better for it, though, and this won't be the norm. I'm very confident in that. With that being said, I was driving home from work today, and saw a dead bird on the side of the road. I caught a glimpse of its partially open beak - it had teeth. Let's Go Zips!
